我對眾人雖然自由，卻讓自己做了眾人的僕人，為要贏得更多的人。向猶太人我就成了猶太人，為要贏得猶太人；向律法以下的人、我自己雖不在律法之下，還做律法以下的人，為要贏得律法以下的人。向律法以外的人、我對上帝雖在律法以外，對基督卻在律法以內，我還做律法以外的人，為要贏得律法以外的人。向軟弱的人、我就成了軟弱的人，為要贏得軟弱的人：向各種人、我就成了各種人，為要用各種法子拯救些人。

不過要謹慎，免得你們這權利、竟成了軟弱人的碰腳物。

在任何事上、對任何人、我們都沒有引起碰倒人的因由，免得這執事的職分受挑剔。

你們知道我們主耶穌基督的恩：他本來富足，卻為了你們的緣故成為貧窮，使你們因着他的貧窮成為富足。

不喫肉，不喝酒，不在任何事上叫你的弟兄碰倒、才是好的。

所以食物若叫我的弟兄絆跌，我就永遠絕不喫肉，免得使我的弟兄絆跌。

空中的鳥和海裏的魚，凡經行海道的，都服於他腳下。

我們有能力的人呢、應該擔代沒有能力之人的脆弱顧忌，不應該逕求自己所喜歡的。我們各人都要求鄰舍所喜歡的、使他得益處、以得建立。因為基督也不求自己所喜歡的；倒像經上所記：『那些辱罵你之人的辱罵、都落在我身上了！』

你要喝那谿谷裏的水；我已吩咐烏鴉在那裏供養你。』

那時門徒上前來，對耶穌說：『法利賽人聽了這話，顯着格格不入，你知道麼？』耶穌回答說：『一切栽種之物，不是我天父栽種的，連根都要拔起來。容許他們吧；他們是瞎子做領路人；若是瞎子領瞎子，兩個人都會掉在坑裏。』

永恆主安排了一條大魚把約拿吞下去；約拿在魚腹中三日三夜。

上帝就給他們祝福說：『要繁殖增多，充滿全地，去征服它；也要管理海裏的魚、空中的飛鳥、和在地上行動的各樣活物。』

不拘對猶太人、對希利尼人、或對上帝的教會、你們都要不碰倒人才對；正如我一樣：我凡事都讓眾人喜歡，不逕求我自己的益處，只求多人的益處，使他們得救。

我親愛的弟兄們請聽，上帝豈不是揀選了世人以為窮的而富於信仰，以承受他所應許給愛他之人的國麼？

永恆主吩咐那魚，魚就把約拿吐在旱地上。

要禁戒各式各樣的邪惡。

但耶穌心裏卻知道門徒對於這話在唧唧咕咕地議論，就向他們說：『這就使你們難以置信麼？

你叫他暫時比天使小，就用榮耀尊貴給他做華冠，叫萬有都順服在他腳下。』既說「叫萬有都順服於他」，就沒有剩下一樣不順服於他了。其實呢、我們還沒有見着萬有都順服於人呢。

你凡事要顯出你自己是好行為的榜樣，在教導上不腐化，能莊重，言語健全、無可咎責、使反對的人沒有壞話可說我們、而自覺羞愧。
