For though I be free from all[ men], yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more.And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain them that are under the law;To them that are without law, as without law,( being not without law to God, but under the law to Christ,) that I might gain them that are without law.To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all[ men], that I might by all means save some.

But take heed lest by any means this liberty of yours become a stumblingblock to them that are weak.

Giving no offence in any thing, that the ministry be not blamed:

For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.

[ It is] good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor[ any thing] whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or is made weak.

Wherefore, if meat make my brother to offend, I will eat no flesh while the world standeth, lest I make my brother to offend.

Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God:Even as I please all[ men] in all[ things], not seeking mine own profit, but the[ profit] of many, that they may be saved.

Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him?

And the LORD spake unto the fish, and it vomited out Jonah upon the dry[ land].

Abstain from all appearance of evil.

When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, he said unto them, Doth this offend you?

Thou madest him a little lower than the angels; thou crownedst him with glory and honour, and didst set him over the works of thy hands:Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing[ that is] not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him.

In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine[ shewing] uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity,Sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you.
