我虽然自由，不受任何人管辖，但我自愿成为众人的奴仆，为的是要多得一些人。对犹太人，我就作犹太人，为了要得着犹太人；对律法以下的人，虽然我自己不在律法之下，还是作了律法以下的人，为了要得着律法以下的人。对没有律法的人，我就作了没有律法的人，其实我不是在神的律法以外，而是在基督的律法之下，为了要得着没有律法的人。对软弱的人，我就成了软弱的人，为了要得着软弱的人。对怎么样的人，我就作怎么样的人；无论如何，总要救一些人。

然而你们要谨慎，免得你们这自由成了软弱的人的绊脚石。

我们凡事都没有妨碍人，不让这职分受到毁谤，

你们是知道我们的主耶稣基督的恩典的：他本来富足，却为你们成了贫穷，要使你们因他的贫穷成为富足。

无论是吃肉，是喝酒，或是什么使你的弟兄跌倒的事，一律不要作才好。

所以，如果食物使我的弟兄跌倒，我就永远不再吃肉，免得使我的弟兄跌倒了。

我们坚强的人，应该担当不坚强的人的软弱，不应该求自己的喜悦。我们各人务要叫邻舍喜悦，好让他得到益处、得到造就。因为连基督也不求自己的喜悦；反而像经上所记的：“辱骂你的人的辱骂，都落在我的身上。”

你要喝那溪里的水，我已经吩咐乌鸦在那里供养你。”

门徒前来告诉他：“法利赛人听了这话很生气，你知道吗？”耶稣说：“所有不是我天父栽种的植物，都要连根拔起来。由得他们吧！他们是瞎眼的，却作了向导；如果瞎子领瞎子，二人都会跌进坑里。”

耶和华却安排了一条大鱼，把约拿吞下。约拿就在鱼腹中三日三夜。（本节在《马索拉文本》为2:1）

神就赐福给他们，对他们说：“要繁衍增多，充满这地，征服它；也要管理海里的鱼、空中的鸟和地上所有走动的生物。”

无论是犹太人，是希腊人，是神的教会，你们总不可使他们跌倒；就好像我所作的一切，都是要使大家喜悦，不是要求自己的好处，而是要求别人的好处，为了要使他们得救。

我亲爱的弟兄们，请听：神不是拣选了在世上被认为贫穷的人吗？这些人却在信心上富足，而且是承受神的国的人。这国是神应许赐给爱他的人的。

于是耶和华吩咐那鱼，鱼就把约拿吐在陆地上。

各样的恶事要远离。

耶稣心里知道门徒为了这事议论纷纷，就对他们说：“这话使你们动摇吗？

你使他暂时成了比天使卑微（“暂时成了比天使卑微”或译：“比天使稍低微一点”），却赐给他荣耀尊贵作冠冕，（有些古卷在此有“并立他统管你手所造的一切”一句）使万物都服在他的脚下。”既然万有都服了他，就没有剩下一样不服他的了。但是现在我们还没有看见万有都服他。

无论在什么事上你都要显出好行为的榜样，在教导上要纯全，要庄重，言词要纯正，无可指摘，使反对的人因为无从毁谤，就自觉惭愧。
