我實在告訴你們，站在這裡的，有人在沒有嘗過死味以前，必要看見人子帶著他的國降臨。”

他們從那裡出去，經過加利利，耶穌不想讓人知道，因為他正在教導門徒。他又對他們說：“人子將要被交在人的手裡，他們要殺害他，死後三天他要復活。”門徒不明白這話，又不敢問他。

“你們要把這些話存在心裡：人子將要被交在人的手裡。”門徒不明白這話，因為這話的意思是隱藏的，不讓他們明白，他們也不敢問。

他不在這裡，已經復活了。你們應當記得他還在加利利的時候，怎樣告訴你們，說：‘人子必須被交在罪人手裡，釘在十字架上，第三日復活。’”

又說：“經上這樣記著：基督必須受害，第三天從死人中復活。

從那時起，他就找機會把耶穌交給他們。

說：“我們現在上耶路撒冷去，人子要被交給祭司長和經學家，他們要定他的罪，並且把他交給外族人。他們要凌辱他，向他吐唾沫，鞭打他，殺害他，三天以後，他要復活。”
