Then they brought him to Him. And when he saw Him, immediately the spirit convulsed him, and he fell on the ground and wallowed, foaming at the mouth.So He asked his father,“ How long has this been happening to him?” And he said,“ From childhood.And often he has thrown him both into the fire and into the water to destroy him. But if You can do anything, have compassion on us and help us.”

Then one of the crowd answered and said,“ Teacher, I brought You my son, who has a mute spirit.And wherever it seizes him, it throws him down; he foams at the mouth, gnashes his teeth, and becomes rigid. So I spoke to Your disciples, that they should cast it out, but they could not.”

So the demons begged Him, saying,“ If You cast us out, permit us to go away into the herd of swine.”And He said to them,“ Go.” So when they had come out, they went into the herd of swine. And suddenly the whole herd of swine ran violently down the steep place into the sea, and perished in the water.

because he had often been bound with shackles and chains. And the chains had been pulled apart by him, and the shackles broken in pieces; neither could anyone tame him.And always, night and day, he was in the mountains and in the tombs, crying out and cutting himself with stones.

So Jesus came again to Cana of Galilee where He had made the water wine. And there was a certain nobleman whose son was sick at Capernaum.When he heard that Jesus had come out of Judea into Galilee, he went to Him and implored Him to come down and heal his son, for he was at the point of death.

So Satan went out from the presence of the Lord, and struck Job with painful boils from the sole of his foot to the crown of his head.

And behold, one of the rulers of the synagogue came, Jairus by name. And when he saw Him, he fell at His feetand begged Him earnestly, saying,“ My little daughter lies at the point of death. Come and lay Your hands on her, that she may be healed, and she will live.”

You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land.But now, stretch out Your hand and touch all that he has, and he will surely curse You to Your face!”And the Lord said to Satan,“ Behold, all that he has is in your power; only do not lay a hand on his person.” So Satan went out from the presence of the Lord.Now there was a day when his sons and daughters were eating and drinking wine in their oldest brother’s house;and a messenger came to Job and said,“ The oxen were plowing and the donkeys feeding beside them,when the Sabeans raided them and took them away— indeed they have killed the servants with the edge of the sword; and I alone have escaped to tell you!”While he was still speaking, another also came and said,“ The fire of God fell from heaven and burned up the sheep and the servants, and consumed them; and I alone have escaped to tell you!”While he was still speaking, another also came and said,“ The Chaldeans formed three bands, raided the camels and took them away, yes, and killed the servants with the edge of the sword; and I alone have escaped to tell you!”While he was still speaking, another also came and said,“ Your sons and daughters were eating and drinking wine in their oldest brother’s house,and suddenly a great wind came from across the wilderness and struck the four corners of the house, and it fell on the young people, and they are dead; and I alone have escaped to tell you!”

Suddenly a man from the multitude cried out, saying,“ Teacher, I implore You, look on my son, for he is my only child.And behold, a spirit seizes him, and he suddenly cries out; it convulses him so that he foams at the mouth; and it departs from him with great difficulty, bruising him.So I implored Your disciples to cast it out, but they could not.”Then Jesus answered and said,“ O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you and bear with you? Bring your son here.”And as he was still coming, the demon threw him down and convulsed him. Then Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, healed the child, and gave him back to his father.
