When they came to the crowd, a man approached Jesus and knelt before him.

至門徒所、見大眾環之、士子與之辯論、眾見耶穌甚異之、趨前問安、耶穌問之曰、爾與之辯論者何、眾中一人對曰、夫子、我攜我子就爾、彼患啞鬼、隨在執之、傾跌之、則流涎嚼齒枯槁焉、我請爾徒逐之、而不能也、耶穌曰、不信之世歟、我偕爾忍爾將幾何時乎、攜之就我、遂攜之至、一見耶穌、鬼即拘攣之、其人仆地、輾轉流涎、耶穌問其父曰、患此自何時乎、對曰、自少時、鬼屢投之於火於水、欲滅之、儻爾能為、則憫而助我儕、耶穌曰、何云、儻爾能為、於信者無不能也、子之父即呼曰、我信矣、設有未盡、其助余、耶穌見眾趨集、則叱邪鬼曰、喑聾之鬼、我命爾出、毋復入之、鬼號呼、極拘攣之、乃出、其子若死、人多謂其已死矣、耶穌執其手扶之、遂起、既入室、門徒竊問曰、我儕不能逐之、何耶、耶穌曰、斯類也、藉非祈禱、無能出之、○

耶穌出於途、有趨就者、跪而問曰、善哉夫子、我當何為、以嗣永生、

翌日下山、大眾迎之、中一人呼曰、夫子、祈顧我子、乃我獨生者、為鬼所執、則遽呼、拘攣之、致流涎、且重傷之、去之實難、我曾求爾徒逐之、而不能也、耶穌曰、噫、悖逆不信之世、我偕爾忍爾、幾何時乎、攜爾子來此、來時、鬼傾跌之、拘攣之、耶穌斥邪鬼、遂醫此子、付諸其父、眾皆驚異上帝之嚴威焉、○當眾奇其所行、耶穌謂門徒曰、
