羣眾越來越多的時候，耶穌又開始講論說：『這世代是個邪惡的世代；它求神迹；但除了約拿的神迹以外、必沒有神迹給它。約拿對尼尼微人怎樣成了個神迹，人子對這一代也必這樣。

耶穌回答他們說：『邪惡淫亂的世代切求着神迹；但是除了神言人約拿的神迹以外，必沒有神迹給它。約拿怎樣三晝三夜在大魚腹中，人子也必怎樣三晝三夜在地心裏。

永恆主安排了一條大魚把約拿吞下去；約拿在魚腹中三日三夜。

在這淫亂有罪的世代、凡以我和我的為可恥的，人子帶着他父的榮耀和聖天使來臨的時候、也必以那人為可恥。』

他們就求耶穌離開他們的境界。耶穌上船的時候，那被鬼附過的人求耶穌讓他跟隨着他。

就使他們把兒女養大，我也必使他們喪失兒子，一個不留。我離開他們時，他們就有禍了！

耶穌心靈裏深深地歎息說：『這世代為甚麼求神迹呢？我實在告訴你們，必沒有神迹給這世代的！』

容許他們吧；他們是瞎子做領路人；若是瞎子領瞎子，兩個人都會掉在坑裏。』

以法蓮和偶像聯姻，任憑他吧！

猶太人敵擋毁謗，保羅就抖着衣裳對他們說：『你們滅亡、血歸到你們自己頭上！我卻乾乾淨淨。從今以後、我要找外國人去了。』

永恆主說：『人類既是屬肉體的，我的靈就不永遠住在人類裏面：他在世的日子可以活到一百二十歲。』

彼得還用更多別樣的話鄭重地作見證，勸勉他們說：『你們要救自己、脫離這彎曲的世代。』
