當眾人聚集的時候，耶穌開講說：「這世代是一個邪惡的世代。他們求看神蹟，除了約拿的神蹟以外，再沒有神蹟給他們看。約拿怎樣為尼尼微人成了神蹟，人子也要照樣為這世代的人成了神蹟。

耶穌回答說：「一個邪惡淫亂的世代求看神蹟，除了先知約拿的神蹟以外，再沒有神蹟給他們看。約拿三日三夜在大魚肚腹中，人子也要這樣三日三夜在地裏頭。

耶和華安排一條大魚吞了約拿，他在魚腹中三日三夜。

凡在這淫亂罪惡的世代，把我和我的道當作可恥的，人子在他父的榮耀裏，同聖天使降臨的時候，也要把那人當作可恥的。」

眾人就央求耶穌離開他們的境界。耶穌上船的時候，那從前被鬼附着的人懇求和耶穌同在。

縱然養大兒女，我卻必使他們喪子，甚至不留一個。我離棄他們，他們就有禍了。

耶穌心裏深深地歎息，說：「這世代為甚麼求神蹟呢？我實在告訴你們，沒有神蹟給這世代看。」

任憑他們吧！他們是瞎眼領路的；若是瞎子領瞎子，兩個人都要掉在坑裏。」

以法蓮親近偶像，任憑他吧！

他們既抗拒、毀謗，保羅就抖着衣裳，說：「你們的罪歸到你們自己頭上，與我無干。從今以後，我要往外邦人那裏去。」

耶和華說：「人既屬乎血氣，我的靈就不永遠住在他裏面；然而他的日子還可到一百二十年。」

彼得還用許多話作見證，勸勉他們說：「你們當救自己脫離這彎曲的世代。」
