众人聚集的时候，耶稣就说：“这世代是个邪恶的世代。这世代寻求神迹，可是除了约拿的神迹以外，再没有神迹给他们了。约拿怎样成了尼尼微人的神迹，人子也照样成为这个世代的神迹。

但耶稣说：“邪恶和淫乱的世代寻求神迹，除了约拿先知的神迹以外，再没有神迹给你们了。约拿怎样三日三夜在大鱼的腹中，人子也要照样三日三夜在地里。

耶和华却安排了一条大鱼，把约拿吞下。约拿就在鱼腹中三日三夜。（本节在《马索拉文本》为2:1）

在淫乱罪恶的世代，凡把我和我的道当作可耻的，人子在他父的荣耀里，和圣天使一起降临的时候，也必把他当作可耻的。”

他们就要求耶稣离开他们的地区。耶稣上船的时候，那被鬼附过的人来求他，要和他在一起。

即使他们把儿女养大，我也必使他们丧子，一个不留。我离弃他们的时候，他们就有祸了。”

耶稣灵里深深地叹息，说：“这世代为什么总是寻求神迹？我实在告诉你们，决不会有神迹显给这个世代的！”

由得他们吧！他们是瞎眼的，却作了向导；如果瞎子领瞎子，二人都会跌进坑里。”

以法莲和偶像连在一起，任凭他吧！

但是他们抗拒、亵渎，保罗就抖着衣服，对他们说：“你们的罪你们自己承担，这与我无关。从今以后，我要到外族人那里去了。”

耶和华说：“人既然是属肉体的，我的灵就不永远住在他里面，但他的日子还有一百二十年。”

彼得还用许多别的话，郑重作证，并且劝勉他们，说：“你们应当救自己脱离这弯曲的世代！”
