“ Truly I tell you, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom.”

Verily I say unto you, There are some of them that stand here, who shall in no wise taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.

Jesus went on to say,“ I tell you the truth, some standing here right now will not die before they see the Kingdom of God arrive in great power!”

I tell you the truth, some standing here right now will not die before they see the Kingdom of God.”

The people said,“ Now we know you are possessed by a demon. Even Abraham and the prophets died, but you say,‘ Anyone who obeys my teaching will never die!’

Jesus replied,“ You have said it. And in the future you will see the Son of Man seated in the place of power at God’s right hand and coming on the clouds of heaven.”

When you are persecuted in one town, flee to the next. I tell you the truth, the Son of Man will return before you have reached all the towns of Israel.

What we do see is Jesus, who for a little while was given a position“ a little lower than the angels”; and because he suffered death for us, he is now“ crowned with glory and honor.” Yes, by God’s grace, Jesus tasted death for everyone.

Then everyone will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds with great power and glory.

Later, Jesus sat on the Mount of Olives. His disciples came to him privately and said,“ Tell us, when will all this happen? What sign will signal your return and the end of the world?”

and had revealed to him that he would not die until he had seen the Lord’s Messiah.

For as the lightning flashes in the east and shines to the west, so it will be when the Son of Man comes.Just as the gathering of vultures shows there is a carcass nearby, so these signs indicate that the end is near.“ Immediately after the anguish of those days, the sun will be darkened, the moon will give no light, the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers in the heavens will be shaken.And then at last, the sign that the Son of Man is coming will appear in the heavens, and there will be deep mourning among all the peoples of the earth. And they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.And he will send out his angels with the mighty blast of a trumpet, and they will gather his chosen ones from all over the world— from the farthest ends of the earth and heaven.

I tell you, he will grant justice to them quickly! But when the Son of Man returns, how many will he find on the earth who have faith?”

“ So you, too, must keep watch! For you don’t know what day your Lord is coming.

And they speak of how you are looking forward to the coming of God’s Son from heaven— Jesus, whom God raised from the dead. He is the one who has rescued us from the terrors of the coming judgment.

Then everyone will see the Son of Man coming on a cloud with power and great glory.So when all these things begin to happen, stand and look up, for your salvation is near!”
