因为不敬虔的人将被铲除，上帝将夺去他的性命。那时，他还有何指望？

却不能救赎自己的生命，也无法向上帝付生命的赎价。因为生命的赎价高昂，无人付得起，

如果你的右眼使你犯罪，就把它剜掉！宁可失去身体的一部分，也比整个人下地狱好。

魔鬼再带耶稣到一座极高的山上，把世上万国及其荣华富贵展示给祂看，说：“如果你俯伏敬拜我，我就把这一切都给你。”
