Then Jesus said to his disciples,“ Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.

Then Jesus told his disciples,“ If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.

不背自己的十字架跟从我的，不配作我的门徒。

凡不背着自己的十字架来跟从我的，也不能作我的门徒。

既然基督在肉身受苦，你们也该将这样的心志作为兵器，因为在肉身受过苦的已经与罪断绝了，使你们从今以后不再随从人的情欲，只顺从上帝的旨意，在世度余下的光阴。

耶稣看着他，就爱他，对他说：“你还缺少一件：去变卖你所有的，分给穷人，就必有财宝在天上；然后来跟从我。”

耶稣又对众人说：“若有人要跟从我，就当舍己，天天背起自己的十字架来跟从我。因为凡要救自己生命的，必丧失生命；凡为我丧失生命的，他必救自己的生命。人就是赚得全世界，却丧失了自己，或赔上自己，有什么益处呢？凡把我和我的道当作可耻的，人子在自己的荣耀里，和天父与圣天使的荣耀里来临的时候，也要把那人当作可耻的。我实在告诉你们，站在这里的，有人在没经历死亡以前，必定看见上帝的国。”

其实，凡立志在基督耶稣里敬虔度日的，也都将受迫害。

于是他叫众人和门徒来，对他们说：“若有人要跟从我，就当舍己，背起自己的十字架来跟从我。

因着信，摩西长大了不肯称为法老女儿之子。他宁可和上帝的百姓一同受苦，也不愿在罪中享受片刻的欢乐。他把为弥赛亚受凌辱看得比埃及的财物更宝贵，因为他想望所要得的赏赐。

现在我为你们受苦，倒很快乐；并且为基督的身体，就是为教会，我要在自己的肉身上补满基督未尽的苦难。

坚固门徒的心，劝他们持守他们的信仰，说：“我们进入上帝的国，必须经历许多艰难。”

耶稣背着自己的十字架出来，到了一个地方，名叫“髑髅地”，希伯来话叫各各他。

免得有人被这些患难动摇。因为你们自己知道，我们受患难原是命定的。

有一个古利奈人西门，就是亚历山大和鲁孚的父亲，从乡下来，经过那地方，他们就强迫他同去，好背耶稣的十字架。

他们出去的时候，遇见一个古利奈人，名叫西门，就强迫他同去，好背耶稣的十字架。

他们把耶稣带去的时候，有一个古利奈人西门从乡下来，他们就拿住他，把十字架搁在他身上，叫他背着跟在耶稣后面。
