乃諭諸徒曰：『人欲從予、必須克己、負其十字架、而追隨予後。

Then Jesus said to his disciples,“ Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.

Then Jesus spoke to his disciples. He said,“ Whoever wants to be my disciple must say no to themselves. They must pick up their cross and follow me.

Then Jesus told his disciples,“ If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.

Then Jesus said to his disciples,“ If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross, and follow me.

Then Jesus said to his disciples,“ If anyone wants to follow after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me.

Then Jesus said to His disciples,“ If anyone wants to come after Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow Me.

Then Jesus said to His disciples,“ If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.

Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man would come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

Then Jesus said to His disciples,“ If anyone wants to come with Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow Me.

Whoever does not take up their cross and follow me is not worthy of me. (niv)

And whoever does not carry their cross and follow me cannot be my disciple. (niv)

Therefore, since Christ suffered in his body, arm yourselves also with the same attitude, because whoever suffers in the body is done with sin.As a result, they do not live the rest of their earthly lives for evil human desires, but rather for the will of God. (niv)

Jesus looked at him and loved him.“ One thing you lack,” he said.“ Go, sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.” (niv)

Then he said to them all:“ Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will save it.What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, and yet lose or forfeit their very self?Whoever is ashamed of me and my words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of them when he comes in his glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels.“ Truly I tell you, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the kingdom of God.” (niv)

In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted, (niv)

Then he called the crowd to him along with his disciples and said:“ Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. (niv)

By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be known as the son of Pharaoh’s daughter.He chose to be mistreated along with the people of God rather than to enjoy the fleeting pleasures of sin.He regarded disgrace for the sake of Christ as of greater value than the treasures of Egypt, because he was looking ahead to his reward. Now I rejoice in what I am suffering for you, and I fill up in my flesh what is still lacking in regard to Christ’s afflictions, for the sake of his body, which is the church. (niv)

As they were going out, they met a man from Cyrene, named Simon, and they forced him to carry the cross. (niv)

As the soldiers led him away, they seized Simon from Cyrene, who was on his way in from the country, and put the cross on him and made him carry it behind Jesus. (niv)
