Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him.“ Never, Lord!” he said.“ This shall never happen to you!”

Then he came to Simon Peter. He said to him,“ Lord, do you wash my feet?”Jesus answered him,“ You don’t know what I am doing now, but you will understand later.”Peter said to him,“ You will never wash my feet!” Jesus answered him,“ If I don’t wash you, you have no part with me.”

Coming to us and taking Paul’s belt, he bound his own feet and hands, and said,“ The Holy Spirit says:‘ So the Jews at Jerusalem will bind the man who owns this belt, and will deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles.’”When we heard these things, both we and the people of that place begged him not to go up to Jerusalem.Then Paul answered,“ What are you doing, weeping and breaking my heart? For I am ready not only to be bound, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.”

The messenger who went to call Micaiah spoke to him, saying,“ See now, the prophets declare good to the king with one mouth. Please let your word be like the word of one of them, and speak good.”
