And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.

So then you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and of the household of God,being built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the chief cornerstone;in whom the whole building, fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord;in whom you also are built together for a habitation of God in the Spirit.

For we are God’s fellow workers. You are God’s farming, God’s building.According to the grace of God which was given to me, as a wise master builder I laid a foundation, and another builds on it. But let each man be careful how he builds on it.For no one can lay any other foundation than that which has been laid, which is Jesus Christ.

Therefore the Lord Yahweh says,“ Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious cornerstone of a sure foundation. He who believes shall not act hastily.

He brought him to Jesus. Jesus looked at him, and said,“ You are Simon the son of Jonah. You shall be called Cephas”( which is by interpretation, Peter).

He is the head of the body, the assembly, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things he might have the preeminence.

Those who trust in Yahweh are as Mount Zion, which can’t be moved, but remains forever.As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so Yahweh surrounds his people from this time forward and forever more.

but if I wait long, that you may know how men ought to behave themselves in God’s house, which is the assembly of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.

For he has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses, because he who built the house has more honor than the house.For every house is built by someone; but he who built all things is God.

and speak to him, saying,‘ Yahweh of Armies says,“ Behold, the man whose name is the Branch: and he shall grow up out of his place; and he shall build Yahweh’s temple;even he shall build Yahweh’s temple; and he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule on his throne; and he shall be a priest on his throne; and the counsel of peace shall be between them both.

Therefore, receiving a Kingdom that can’t be shaken, let’s have grace, through which we serve God acceptably, with reverence and awe,

Who could bring a charge against God’s chosen ones? It is God who justifies.Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, yes rather, who was raised from the dead, who is at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Could oppression, or anguish, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?Even as it is written,“ For your sake we are killed all day long. We were accounted as sheep for the slaughter.”No, in all these things, we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers,nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from God’s love which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

( but how could someone who doesn’t know how to rule one’s own house take care of God’s assembly?)

I said,“ In the middle of my life I go into the gates of Sheol. I am deprived of the residue of my years.”

I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth have passed away, and the sea is no more.I saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared like a bride adorned for her husband.I heard a loud voice out of heaven saying,“ Behold, God’s dwelling is with people, and he will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God.He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more; neither will there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain, any more. The first things have passed away.”

that I will bless you greatly, and I will multiply your offspring greatly like the stars of the heavens, and like the sand which is on the seashore. Your offspring will possess the gate of his enemies.

The seventh angel sounded, and great voices in heaven followed, saying,“ The kingdom of the world has become the Kingdom of our Lord, and of his Christ. He will reign forever and ever!”

Those who sit in the gate talk about me. I am the song of the drunkards.

“ Death, where is your sting? Hades, where is your victory?”

The king said to them,“ I will do what seems best to you.” The king stood beside the gate, and all the people went out by hundreds and by thousands.

and a spirit of justice to him who sits in judgment, and strength to those who turn back the battle at the gate.

Their soul abhors all kinds of food. They draw near to the gates of death.

Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them. They won’t be disappointed when they speak with their enemies in the gate.
