And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.

Here is what I tell you. You are Peter. On this rock I will build my church. The gates of hell will not be strong enough to destroy it.

But let each man take heed how he buildeth thereon.For other foundation can no man lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner- stone of sure foundation: he that believeth shall not be in haste.

He brought him unto Jesus. Jesus looked upon him, and said, Thou art Simon the son of John: thou shalt be called Cephas( which is by interpretation, Peter).

but if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how men ought to behave themselves in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.

For he hath been counted worthy of more glory than Moses, by so much as he that built the house hath more honor than the house.For every house is builded by some one; but he that built all things is God.

No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of Jehovah, and their righteousness which is of me, saith Jehovah.

It is Christ Jesus that died, yea rather, that was raised from the dead, who is at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or anguish, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?Even as it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; We were accounted as sheep for the slaughter.Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers,nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

( but if a man knoweth not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?)

I said, In the noontide of my days I shall go into the gates of Sheol: I am deprived of the residue of my years.

And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth are passed away; and the sea is no more.And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, made ready as a bride adorned for her husband.And I heard a great voice out of the throne saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he shall dwell with them, and they shall be his peoples, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God:and he shall wipe away every tear from their eyes; and death shall be no more; neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain, any more: the first things are passed away.

that in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heavens, and as the sand which is upon the seashore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;

And the seventh angel sounded; and there followed great voices in heaven, and they said, The kingdom of the world is become the kingdom of our Lord, and of his Christ: and he shall reign for ever and ever.

They that sit in the gate talk of me; And I am the song of the drunkards.

O death, where is thy victory? O death, where is thy sting?

And the king said unto them, What seemeth you best I will do. And the king stood by the gate- side, and all the people went out by hundreds and by thousands.

and a spirit of justice to him that sitteth in judgment, and strength to them that turn back the battle at the gate.

Their soul abhorreth all manner of food; And they draw near unto the gates of death.

Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: They shall not be put to shame, When they speak with their enemies in the gate.
