耶穌嘗燕居祈禱、諸徒與偕、耶穌問之曰：『眾人以予為誰？』對曰：『施洗如望也或則以為伊理藹也、亦有謂古先知再世者。』耶穌曰：『顧爾曹以予為誰耶？』伯鐸祿曰：『天主之基督也。』

即人子之來、非以役人、乃為人役、且將舍生以贖眾矣。』

第欲爾知人子在世、自有赦罪之權耳。』乃謂痿者曰：『起、攜榻而歸。』

既又謂之曰：『我實語爾、爾曹將見上天洞開、而天主之神使升降於人子之上焉。』

語侵人子、猶可宥也；語忤聖神、則斯世來世、莫之宥矣。

當人子偕諸天神、威靈顯赫、駕雲而降也、將坐於尊位、

且正如摩西舉銅蛇於野、人子亦將被舉、

以其為人子故、委以黜陟之權。

耶穌曰：『播佳種者、人子也；

蓋正如若納居巨魚腹中者三晝夜、人子亦將三晝夜居於地腹。

當是時人子將遣發天神、自其國中聚集誘惡行惡之儔、

耶穌對曰：『狐有丘、鳥有巢、人子獨無枕首地。』

耶穌出赴諦羅西同境、

即曰：『盍觀乎！予見諸天洞開矣！人子立於天主之右！』

處此淫邪之世、而以吾及吾道為恥者、人子佩聖父榮光、偕聖天神降臨之日、亦必以其人為可恥也。』

夫人子乃禮日之主也。』

天主沐以聖神、充以神力、足跡所至仁澤是施、脫人於魔、而賜以康復。以天主恆與之偕也。

眾曰：『吾聞諸律法云：「基督永留、」今汝曰：「人子必須被舉」何也？且所謂人子者、誰耶？』

眾子既具血肉之體、聖子亦曾具血肉之體；其所以然者、乃欲通過死亡之關以滅彼掌握死權之沙殫、而救拔一切呻吟於死亡淫威下之生靈耳。蓋彼所欲救拔者、非屬天神、乃為亞伯漢之子孫。因此、彼不得不與眾兄弟儘量同化、俾在天主臺前、得充一忠心耿耿、富於同情之大司祭且為萬民之罪、而自獻為消怒之犧牲。蓋正惟彼曾親嘗苦痛之磨練、故能弘濟在磨練中之眾人也。
