But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins”— then he told the paralytic,“ Get up, take your stretcher, and go home.”

Then he said,“ Truly I tell you, you will see heaven opened and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man.”

Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the one to come.

“ When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne.

“ Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up,

And he has granted him the right to pass judgment, because he is the Son of Man.

He replied,“ The one who sows the good seed is the Son of Man;

For as Jonah was in the belly of the huge fish three days and three nights, so the Son of Man will be in the heart of the earth three days and three nights.

The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will gather from his kingdom all who cause sin and those guilty of lawlessness.

Jesus told him,“ Foxes have dens, and birds of the sky have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head.”

When Jesus left there, he withdrew to the area of Tyre and Sidon.

He said,“ Look, I see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God!”

I continued watching in the night visions, and suddenly one like a son of man was coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was escorted before him.

For whoever is ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will also be ashamed of him when he comes in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.”

Now since the children have flesh and blood in common, Jesus also shared in these, so that through his death he might destroy the one holding the power of death— that is, the devil—and free those who were held in slavery all their lives by the fear of death.For it is clear that he does not reach out to help angels, but to help Abraham’s offspring.Therefore, he had to be like his brothers and sisters in every way, so that he could become a merciful and faithful high priest in matters pertaining to God, to make atonement for the sins of the people.For since he himself has suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are tempted.
