上帝命令說：「要孝敬父親和母親」；又說：『誹謗父親或母親的，必須死』；

神说：‘当孝敬父母’；又说：‘咒骂父母的，必治死他。’

天主誡云、敬爾父母、又云、詈父母者必治之死、

「敬爾父母；詈父母者、死無赦；」

For God said,‘ Honor your father and mother’ and‘ Anyone who curses their father or mother is to be put to death.’

God said,‘ Honor your father and mother.’( Exodus 20:12; Deuteronomy 5:16) He also said,‘ Anyone who asks for bad things to happen to their father or mother must be put to death.’( Exodus 21:17; Leviticus 20:9)

For God commanded,‘ Honor your father and your mother,’ and,‘ Whoever reviles father or mother must surely die.’

For instance, God says,‘ Honor your father and mother,’ and‘ Anyone who speaks disrespectfully of father or mother must be put to death.’

For God said: Honor your father and your mother; and, Whoever speaks evil of father or mother must be put to death.

For God said,‘ Honor your father and mother,’ and,‘ The one who speaks evil of father or mother is to be put to death.’

『要孝敬你的父親和母親，使你在永恆主你的上帝所賜給你的土地得享長壽。

凡咒罵自己的父親或母親的、必須被處死；他咒罵了自己的父親或母親，流他血的罪必歸到他自己身上。

『「要孝敬你的父親和母親，照永恆主你的上帝所吩咐你的，使你得享長壽，並使你在永恆主你的上帝所賜給你的土地、平安順遂。

『咒罵父親或母親的必須被處死。

要聽從生你的父親；你母親老了，你不可藐視她。

做兒女的、你們要聽從你們的父母；因為這是理所當然的。

要孝敬父親和母親；並且要愛鄰舍如同你自己。』

『人若有倔強悖逆的兒子，不聽從他父親的話或母親的話；他們雖懲罰他，他還是不聽從；那麼、他父親和母親就要抓住他，將他帶出去到那地方的城門、他本城的長老那裏，對他本城的長老說：「我們這兒子倔強悖逆，不聽從我們的話，是個貪喫好酒的人。」他本城的眾人就要扔石頭砍他，砍到死去；這樣、你就把那壞事從你中間肅清了；這樣、全以色列聽見，就懼怕了。

這樣，我們是憑着信廢掉律法麼？斷乎不是；我們倒是叫律法立定呢。

你們各人都要孝敬自己的母親自己的父親；我的安息日你們務要守：我永恆主是你們的上帝。

『不要以為我來是要毁廢律法或神言人；我來不是要毁廢，乃是要成全。我實在告訴你們，即使天地都過去了，一點或一鈎也決不能從律法書上過去；一切必須實現的、總必實現。所以凡廢掉誡命中這些最小的一條，又這樣教訓人的，在天國裏他必稱為最小的；凡遵行誡命，又教訓人的，這人在天國裏必稱為大。

咒詛父親或母親的、他的燈必熄滅於極深的黑暗中。

『「輕慢父親或母親的、必受咒詛」；眾民都要說：「阿們。」

耶穌對他說：『撒但退去！因為有記着說：「要拜主你的上帝，單單事奉他。」』

不，人應當以上帝所指教的和神言人所警告的為根據；他們若不按這標準說話，就得不到曙光。

嗤笑父親，藐視母親年老的，他的眼必被谿谷中的烏鴉啄出，給兀鷹之類所喫。
