Then Jesus called the disciples and said,“ I have compassion on the crowd, because they have already been here with me three days and they have nothing to eat. I don’t want to send them away hungry since they may faint on the way.”

Jesus called his disciples to him and said,“ I have compassion for these people; they have already been with me three days and have nothing to eat. I do not want to send them away hungry, or they may collapse on the way.”

Then Jesus called for his disciples to come to him. He said,“ I feel deep concern for these people. They have already been with me three days. They don’t have anything to eat. I don’t want to send them away hungry. If I do, they will become too weak on their way home.”

Then Jesus called his disciples to him and said,“ I have compassion on the crowd because they have been with me now three days and have nothing to eat. And I am unwilling to send them away hungry, lest they faint on the way.”

Then Jesus called his disciples and told them,“ I feel sorry for these people. They have been here with me for three days, and they have nothing left to eat. I don’t want to send them away hungry, or they will faint along the way.”

And Jesus called unto him his disciples, and said, I have compassion on the multitude, because they continue with me now three days and have nothing to eat: and I would not send them away fasting, lest haply they faint on the way.

Now Jesus summoned His disciples and said,“ I have compassion on the crowd, because they’ve already stayed with Me three days and have nothing to eat. I don’t want to send them away hungry; otherwise they might collapse on the way.”

Then Jesus called his disciples[ unto him], and said, I have compassion on the multitude, because they continue with me now three days, and have nothing to eat: and I will not send them away fasting, lest they faint in the way.

Jesus summoned his disciples and said,“ I have compassion on the multitude, because they continue with me now three days and have nothing to eat. I don’t want to send them away fasting, or they might faint on the way.”

When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them because they were bewildered and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.

So do not be overly concerned about what you will eat and what you will drink, and do not worry about such things.For all the nations of the world pursue these things, and your Father knows that you need them.

As day was about to dawn, Paul urged them all to take some food, saying,“ Today is the fourteenth day you have been in suspense and have gone without food; you have eaten nothing.

Then they found an Egyptian in the field and brought him to David. They gave him bread to eat and water to drink.They gave him a slice of pressed figs and two bunches of raisins to eat. This greatly refreshed him, for he had not eaten food or drunk water for three days and three nights.

As he got out he saw the large crowd, and he had compassion on them and healed their sick.When evening arrived, his disciples came to him saying,“ This is an isolated place and the hour is already late. Send the crowds away so that they can go into the villages and buy food for themselves.”But he replied,“ They don’t need to go. You give them something to eat.”They said to him,“ We have here only five loaves and two fish.”“ Bring them here to me,” he replied.Then he instructed the crowds to sit down on the grass. He took the five loaves and two fish, and looking up to heaven he gave thanks and broke the loaves. He gave them to the disciples, who in turn gave them to the crowds.They all ate and were satisfied, and they picked up the broken pieces left over, twelve baskets full.Not counting women and children, there were about five thousand men who ate.

Moved with compassion, Jesus touched their eyes. Immediately they received their sight and followed him.

It has often thrown him into fire or water to destroy him. But if you are able to do anything, have compassion on us and help us.”

When the Lord saw her, he had compassion for her and said to her,“ Do not weep.”

For just as Jonah was in the belly of the huge fish for three days and three nights, so the Son of Man will be in the heart of the earth for three days and three nights.

For we do not have a high priest incapable of sympathizing with our weaknesses, but one who has been tempted in every way just as we are, yet without sin.

and said,“ Sir, we remember that while that deceiver was still alive he said,‘ After three days I will rise again.’

For the unconverted pursue these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.But above all pursue his kingdom and righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

In those days there was another large crowd with nothing to eat. So Jesus called his disciples and said to them,“ I have compassion on the crowd, because they have already been here with me three days, and they have nothing to eat.If I send them home hungry, they will faint on the way, and some of them have come from a great distance.”His disciples answered him,“ Where can someone get enough bread in this desolate place to satisfy these people?”He asked them,“ How many loaves do you have?” They replied,“ Seven.”Then he directed the crowd to sit down on the ground. After he took the seven loaves and gave thanks, he broke them and began giving them to the disciples to serve. So they served the crowd.They also had a few small fish. After giving thanks for these, he told them to serve these as well.Everyone ate and was satisfied, and they picked up the broken pieces left over, seven baskets full.There were about four thousand who ate. Then he dismissed them.Immediately he got into a boat with his disciples and went to the district of Dalmanutha.

Then someone from the army informed him,“ Your father put the army under a strict oath saying,‘ Cursed be the man who eats food today!’ That is why the army is tired.”Then Jonathan said,“ My father has caused trouble for the land. See how my eyes gleamed when I tasted just a little of this honey.Certainly if the army had eaten some of the enemies’ provisions that they came across today, would not the slaughter of the Philistines have been even greater?”On that day the army struck down the Philistines from Micmash to Aijalon, and they became very tired.
