耶穌把門徒召集過來，對他們說：「我憐憫這些人，他們跟我在一起已經三天，沒有任何吃的。我不願讓他們餓著肚子回去，以免他們在路上體力不支。」

耶稣叫门徒来，说：“我怜悯这众人；因为他们同我在这里已经三天，也没有吃的了。我不愿意叫他们饿着回去，恐怕在路上困乏。”

Jesus called his disciples to him and said,“ I have compassion for these people; they have already been with me three days and have nothing to eat. I do not want to send them away hungry, or they may collapse on the way.”

Then Jesus called for his disciples to come to him. He said,“ I feel deep concern for these people. They have already been with me three days. They don’t have anything to eat. I don’t want to send them away hungry. If I do, they will become too weak on their way home.”

Then Jesus called his disciples to him and said,“ I have compassion on the crowd because they have been with me now three days and have nothing to eat. And I am unwilling to send them away hungry, lest they faint on the way.”

Then Jesus called his disciples and told them,“ I feel sorry for these people. They have been here with me for three days, and they have nothing left to eat. I don’t want to send them away hungry, or they will faint along the way.”

Jesus called his disciples and said,“ I have compassion on the crowd, because they’ve already stayed with me three days and have nothing to eat. I don’t want to send them away hungry, otherwise they might collapse on the way.”

Now Jesus called His disciples to Him and said,“ I feel compassion for the people, because they have remained with Me now for three days and have nothing to eat; and I do not want to send them away hungry, for they might faint on the way.”

Now Jesus called His disciples to Himself and said,“ I have compassion on the multitude, because they have now continued with Me three days and have nothing to eat. And I do not want to send them away hungry, lest they faint on the way.”

And Jesus called unto him his disciples, and said, I have compassion on the multitude, because they continue with me now three days and have nothing to eat: and I would not send them away fasting, lest haply they faint on the way.

Now Jesus summoned His disciples and said,“ I have compassion on the crowd, because they’ve already stayed with Me three days and have nothing to eat. I don’t want to send them away hungry; otherwise they might collapse on the way.”

Then Jesus called his disciples[ unto him], and said, I have compassion on the multitude, because they continue with me now three days, and have nothing to eat: and I will not send them away fasting, lest they faint in the way.

祂看見眾人，心裡憐憫他們，因為他們困苦無助，好像沒有牧人的羊。

你們不要為吃什麼喝什麼憂慮，因為這些都是外族人的追求，你們的天父知道你們需要這些。

到了黎明時分，保羅勸大家吃東西，說：「你們提心吊膽、不思飲食已經十四天了。

他們在田野遇見一個埃及人，就把他帶到大衛那裡。他們給他餅吃，給他水喝，還給他一塊無花果餅和兩個葡萄餅。他吃完後，恢復了體力，因為這人已經三天三夜沒吃沒喝了。

耶穌上了岸，看見一大群人，心裡憐憫他們，就治好了他們當中的病人。黃昏時，門徒過來對耶穌說：「這裡是荒郊野外，天又晚了，請遣散眾人，好讓他們到村莊去自己買些吃的。」耶穌回答說：「他們不用離開，你們給他們吃的吧。」門徒答道：「我們這裡只有五個餅和兩條魚。」耶穌說：「拿來給我。」於是，祂叫眾人坐在草地上，然後拿起那五個餅和兩條魚，舉目望著天祝謝後，就掰開餅遞給門徒，讓他們分給眾人。大家都吃飽了，把剩下的零碎收拾起來，竟裝滿了十二個籃子。當時吃飯的，除了婦女和小孩，約有五千男人。

耶穌就動了慈心，摸他們的眼睛，他們立刻得見光明，並跟從了耶穌。

鬼常常將他扔進火裡或水裡，要害他的命。如果你能，求你憐憫我們，幫助我們吧！」

耶穌看見那寡婦，憐憫之心油然而生，就對她說：「不要哭！」

約拿在大魚腹中三日三夜，人子也要在地裡三日三夜。

因為我們這位大祭司並非不能體恤我們的軟弱，祂與我們一樣曾經面對各樣的試探，卻從來沒有犯罪。

「總督大人，我們記得那個騙子生前曾說，『三天之後，我必復活』，

因為這些都是外族人的追求，你們的天父知道你們的需要。「你們要先尋求上帝的國和祂的義，這一切都會賜給你們。

那時，又有一大群人聚在一起，他們沒有東西吃。耶穌就叫來門徒，說：「我憐憫這些人，他們跟我在一起已經三天，沒有任何吃的了。如果讓他們餓著肚子回家，他們在路上會體力不支，因為有些人是遠道而來的。」門徒說：「在這荒野，如何找到足夠的食物給這些人吃呢？」耶穌問：「你們有多少餅？」門徒答道：「七個。」耶穌便吩咐大家坐在地上，然後拿著那七個餅祝謝了，掰開，遞給門徒，讓門徒分給大家，門徒就把餅分給大家。他們還有幾條小魚。耶穌祝謝了，叫門徒分給眾人。大家都吃了，並且吃飽了，剩下的零碎裝滿了七個筐子。吃的人約有四千。耶穌讓眾人回家後，隨即和門徒上船，來到大瑪努他地區。

有個士兵告訴約拿單，說：「你父親曾叫眾人鄭重起誓，『今天吃東西的人必受咒詛。』所以大家很疲憊。」約拿單說：「我父親使大家受苦了。你看，我只吃了少許蜂蜜，就精神大振，如果大家吃了從敵人那裡奪來的食物，我們就會殲滅更多的非利士人。」那天，以色列人追殺非利士人，從密抹一直追殺到亞雅崙，眾人疲憊不堪。
