『你的門徒為甚麼違犯古人的傳統規矩？喫飯時候不洗手呀！』

“你的门徒为什么犯古人的遗传呢？因为吃饭的时候，他们不洗手。”

那法利賽人看見耶穌飯前不先洗濯，就希奇。

他們曾看見他的門徒有人用俗污的手、就是沒有洗的手、喫飯。

你們既和基督一同死了，脫離了世界所信的星質之靈，為甚麼還在世俗中活着，而去服從那「不可摸！不可嘗！不可觸！」的規例，（而規例中所指的又都是以沿用而至於敗壞的東西）隨着人的誡律和教條呢？這種規例、於牽強的崇拜和卑抑自己以及身體之刻苦、徒有智慧之名，在克制肉體之放縱上實毫無價值的。

你們要謹慎，恐怕有人藉着虛空而誘惑人的「哲學」、照人的傳統教訓、根據世界所信的星質之靈，而不根據基督、把你們擄了去做奴僕。

這些法利賽人和經學士就詰問耶穌說：『你的門徒為甚麼不照前人的傳統規矩行，卻用俗污的手喫飯呢？』

因為知道你們得贖放、脫離你們祖傳徒勞無效的生活、不是用能朽壞的東西、銀子或金子，

上帝說：『天穹要有發光之體來分晝夜；它們要做天象，定節令、日子、年歲；
