But Jesus immediately said to them:“ Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”

Right away Jesus called out to them,“ Be brave! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”

But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying,“ Take heart; it is I. Do not be afraid.”

But Jesus spoke to them at once.“ Don’t be afraid,” he said.“ Take courage. I am here!”

The following night the Lord stood near Paul and said,“ Have courage, for just as you have testified about me in Jerusalem, so you must also testify in Rome.”

Just then some people brought to him a paralytic lying on a stretcher. When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic,“ Have courage, son! Your sins are forgiven.”

Don’t be afraid, for I am with you! Don’t be frightened, for I am your God! I strengthen you– yes, I help you– yes, I uphold you with my saving right hand!

But Jesus came and touched them.“ Get up,” he said.“ Do not be afraid.”

But he said to them,“ It is I. Do not be afraid.”

Who acts and carries out decrees? Who summons the successive generations from the beginning? I, the LORD, am present at the very beginning, and at the very end– I am the one.

When I saw him I fell down at his feet as though I were dead, but he placed his right hand on me and said:“ Do not be afraid! I am the first and the last,and the one who lives! I was dead, but look, now I am alive– forever and ever– and I hold the keys of death and of Hades!

I have told you these things so that in me you may have peace. In the world you have trouble and suffering, but take courage– I have conquered the world.”

Then Jesus said to them,“ Do not be afraid. Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee. They will see me there.”

“ Do not let your hearts be distressed. You believe in God; believe also in me.There are many dwelling places in my Father’s house. Otherwise, I would have told you, because I am going away to make ready a place for you.And if I go and make ready a place for you, I will come again and take you to be with me, so that where I am you may be too.

But the angel said to him,“ Do not be afraid, Zechariah, for your prayer has been heard, and your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son; you will name him John.

So the angel said to her,“ Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God!

Then he said to them,“ Why are you frightened, and why do doubts arise in your hearts?Look at my hands and my feet; it’s me! Touch me and see; a ghost does not have flesh and bones like you see I have.”

But the angel said to them,“ Do not be afraid! Listen carefully, for I proclaim to you good news that brings great joy to all the people:

“ I, I am the one who consoles you. Why are you afraid of mortal men, of mere human beings who are as short-lived as grass?

Don’t be afraid, despised insignificant Jacob, men of Israel. I am helping you,” says the LORD, your protector, the Holy One of Israel.
