那时，主的天使在香坛的右边向撒迦利亚显现，撒迦利亚见了，惊慌害怕起来。

我一看见祂，便扑倒在祂脚前，像死了一样。祂把右手按在我身上，说：“不要害怕！我是首先的，我是末后的，

她们吓得俯伏在地。那两个人对她们说：“你们为什么在死人中找活人呢？

恐惧袭来，令我战栗不已，全身发抖。有灵从我脸上拂过，使我毛骨悚然。那灵停住，我无法辨认其模样。眼前出现一个形状，寂静中听见有声音说，

妇人看见了撒母耳，就惊叫起来，对扫罗说：“你是扫罗，你为什么骗我呢？”扫罗对她说：“不用害怕，你看见什么了？”妇人说：“我看见一个灵从地里上来。”扫罗说：“他是什么模样？”妇人说：“是个身披长袍的老人。”扫罗知道是撒母耳，便俯伏在地，向他下拜。

身体如碧玉，面貌如闪电，眼睛如火炬，四肢如明亮的铜，声音如众人的呼喊。只有我但以理看见了这异象，跟我在一起的人都没有看见，但他们极其恐惧，纷纷逃匿，只剩下我一人观看这奇异的景象。我浑身无力，脸色苍白，精疲力尽。接着，我听见他说话的声音，一听见他的声音，我便俯伏在地上昏睡过去。忽然有一只手轻拍我，扶我用膝和手掌支撑起身体。他对我说：“倍受眷爱的但以理啊，要留心听我说，站起来吧，因为我是奉命到你这里来的。”他说完这话，我便战战兢兢地站起来。他说：“但以理啊，不要怕，从你在上帝面前谦卑地恳求明白这异象的第一天，你的祷告已蒙垂听。我是来答复你的。

他们说：“你一定疯了。”她坚持说：“是真的！”他们就说：“是他的天使吧！”

于是，耶稣开启了他们的心窍，使他们明白这些经文，
