But Jesus said unto them, They have no need to go away; give ye them to eat.

耶穌曰：『無須遣散、爾與之食可也。』

Jesus replied,“ They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat.”

But Jesus said,“ That isn’t necessary— you feed them.”

“ They don’t need to go away,” Jesus told them.“ You give them something to eat.”

Give a portion to seven, yea, even unto eight; for thou knowest not what evil shall be upon the earth.

Let each man do according as he hath purposed in his heart: not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.And God is able to make all grace abound unto you; that ye, having always all sufficiency in everything, may abound unto every good work:

If I have withheld the poor from their desire, Or have caused the eyes of the widow to fail,Or have eaten my morsel alone, And the fatherless hath not eaten thereof

There is that scattereth, and increaseth yet more; And there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth only to want.

For some thought, because Judas had the bag, that Jesus said unto him, Buy what things we have need of for the feast; or, that he should give something to the poor.

how that in much proof of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality.For according to their power, I bear witness, yea and beyond their power, they gave of their own accord,

And he answered and said unto them, He that hath two coats, let him impart to him that hath none; and he that hath food, let him do likewise.
