Then said he unto them, Therefore every scribe[ which is] instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man[ that is] an householder, which bringeth forth out of his treasure[ things] new and old.

耶穌說：「律法教師成為天國的門徒後，就像一個家的主人，能從他的庫房裡拿出新的和舊的東西來。」

他對他們說：『故此每一個經學士受教為門徒歸於天國的、就像一個做家主的人，從他庫房裏拿出新舊的東西來。』

曰、故凡士子為天國之徒者、如家主由其庫中出新舊之物焉、○

耶穌曰、是以凡經士、為天國而學道者、如一家主、由其庫中出新舊之物、○

耶穌曰：『是故士子而熟諳天國之理者、譬諸一家之主、庫中取物、新舊兼備。』

He said to them,“ Therefore every teacher of the law who has become a disciple in the kingdom of heaven is like the owner of a house who brings out of his storeroom new treasures as well as old.”

He said to them,“ Every teacher of the law who has become a disciple in the kingdom of heaven is like the owner of a house. He brings new treasures out of his storeroom as well as old ones.”

And he said to them,“ Therefore every scribe who has been trained for the kingdom of heaven is like a master of a house, who brings out of his treasure what is new and what is old.”

Then he added,“ Every teacher of religious law who becomes a disciple in the Kingdom of Heaven is like a homeowner who brings from his storeroom new gems of truth as well as old.”

“ Therefore,” he said to them,“ every teacher of the law who has become a disciple in the kingdom of heaven is like the owner of a house who brings out of his storeroom treasures new and old.”

And Jesus said to them,“ Therefore every scribe who has become a disciple of the kingdom of heaven is like a head of a household, who brings out of his treasure new things and old.”

Then He said to them,“ Therefore every scribe instructed concerning the kingdom of heaven is like a householder who brings out of his treasure things new and old.”

And he said unto them, Therefore every scribe who hath been made a disciple to the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is a householder, who bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old.

“ Therefore,” He said to them,“ every student of Scripture instructed in the kingdom of heaven is like a landowner who brings out of his storeroom what is new and what is old.”

Then he said to them,“ Therefore every expert in the law who has been trained for the kingdom of heaven is like the owner of a house who brings out of his treasure what is new and old.”

He said to them,“ Therefore every scribe who has been made a disciple in the Kingdom of Heaven is like a man who is a householder, who brings out of his treasure new and old things.”

The lips of the wise disperse knowledge: but the heart of the foolish[ doeth] not so.

Brethren, I write no new commandment unto you, but an old commandment which ye had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which ye have heard from the beginning.Again, a new commandment I write unto you, which thing is true in him and in you: because the darkness is past, and the true light now shineth.

All scripture[ is] given by inspiration of God, and[ is] profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and[ some] of them ye shall kill and crucify; and[ some] of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute[ them] from city to city:

But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

And such trust have we through Christ to God-ward:Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency[ is] of God;Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.

Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers.

A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.

He that handleth a matter wisely shall find good: and whoso trusteth in the LORD, happy[ is] he.The wise in heart shall be called prudent: and the sweetness of the lips increaseth learning.Understanding[ is] a wellspring of life unto him that hath it: but the instruction of fools[ is] folly.The heart of the wise teacheth his mouth, and addeth learning to his lips.Pleasant words[ are as] an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.

Young men likewise exhort to be sober minded.In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine[ shewing] uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity,

The words of a man’s mouth[ are as] deep waters,[ and] the wellspring of wisdom[ as] a flowing brook.

The mandrakes give a smell, and at our gates[ are] all manner of pleasant[ fruits], new and old,[ which] I have laid up for thee, O my beloved.

Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;

Bow down thine ear, and hear the words of the wise, and apply thine heart unto my knowledge.For[ it is] a pleasant thing if thou keep them within thee; they shall withal be fitted in thy lips.

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

The fruit of the righteous[ is] a tree of life; and he that winneth souls[ is] wise.

For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the law of the LORD, and to do[ it], and to teach in Israel statutes and judgments.

As ye also learned of Epaphras our dear fellowservant, who is for you a faithful minister of Christ;

And moreover, because the preacher was wise, he still taught the people knowledge; yea, he gave good heed, and sought out,[ and] set in order many proverbs.The preacher sought to find out acceptable words: and[ that which was] written[ was] upright,[ even] words of truth.The words of the wise[ are] as goads, and as nails fastened[ by] the masters of assemblies,[ which] are given from one shepherd.

A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

This Ezra went up from Babylon; and he[ was] a ready scribe in the law of Moses, which the LORD God of Israel had given: and the king granted him all his request, according to the hand of the LORD his God upon him.

Therefore also said the wisdom of God, I will send them prophets and apostles, and[ some] of them they shall slay and persecute:

For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake.For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to[ give] the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

The tongue of the just[ is as] choice silver: the heart of the wicked[ is] little worth.The lips of the righteous feed many: but fools die for want of wisdom.

Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ)

And I,[ even] I Artaxerxes the king, do make a decree to all the treasurers which[ are] beyond the river, that whatsoever Ezra the priest, the scribe of the law of the God of heaven, shall require of you, it be done speedily,

Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil.

As sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and[ yet] possessing all things.
