And Jesus said to them,“ Therefore every scribe who has become a disciple of the kingdom of heaven is like a head of a household, who brings out of his treasure new things and old.”

Then He said to them,“ Therefore every scribe instructed concerning the kingdom of heaven is like a householder who brings out of his treasure things new and old.”

And he said unto them, Therefore every scribe who hath been made a disciple to the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is a householder, who bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old.

“ Therefore,” He said to them,“ every student of Scripture instructed in the kingdom of heaven is like a landowner who brings out of his storeroom what is new and what is old.”

Then said he unto them, Therefore every scribe[ which is] instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man[ that is] an householder, which bringeth forth out of his treasure[ things] new and old.

Then he said to them,“ Therefore every expert in the law who has been trained for the kingdom of heaven is like the owner of a house who brings out of his treasure what is new and old.”

He said to them,“ Therefore every scribe who has been made a disciple in the Kingdom of Heaven is like a man who is a householder, who brings out of his treasure new and old things.”

The lips of the wise broadcast knowledge, but not so the heart of fools.

Dear friends, I am not writing you a new command but an old command that you have had from the beginning. The old command is the word you have heard.Yet I am writing you a new command, which is true in him and in you, because the darkness is passing away and the true light is already shining.

All Scripture is inspired by God and is profitable for teaching, for rebuking, for correcting, for training in righteousness,so that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.

This is why I am sending you prophets, sages, and scribes. Some of them you will kill and crucify, and some of them you will flog in your synagogues and pursue from town to town.

But if I should be delayed, I have written so that you will know how people ought to conduct themselves in God’s household, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of the truth.And most certainly, the mystery of godliness is great: He was manifested in the flesh, vindicated in the Spirit, seen by angels, preached among the nations, believed on in the world, taken up in glory.

Such is the confidence we have through Christ before God.It is not that we are competent in ourselves to claim anything as coming from ourselves, but our adequacy is from God.He has made us competent to be ministers of a new covenant, not of the letter, but of the Spirit. For the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

holding to the faithful message as taught, so that he will be able both to encourage with sound teaching and to refute those who contradict it.

A good person produces good things from his storeroom of good, and an evil person produces evil things from his storeroom of evil.

The one who understands a matter finds success, and the one who trusts in the LORD will be happy.Anyone with a wise heart is called discerning, and pleasant speech increases learning.Insight is a fountain of life for its possessor, but the discipline of fools is folly.The heart of a wise person instructs his mouth; it adds learning to his speech.Pleasant words are a honeycomb: sweet to the taste and health to the body.

In the same way, encourage the young men to be self-controlledin everything. Make yourself an example of good works with integrity and dignity in your teaching.

The words of a person’s mouth are deep waters, a flowing river, a fountain of wisdom.

The mandrakes give off a fragrance, and at our doors is every delicacy, both new and old. I have treasured them up for you, my love.

This grace was given to me— the least of all the saints— to proclaim to the Gentiles the incalculable riches of Christ,

Listen closely, pay attention to the words of the wise, and apply your mind to my knowledge.For it is pleasing if you keep them within you and if they are constantly on your lips.

Let the word of Christ dwell richly among you, in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another through psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.

The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, but a cunning person takes lives.
