How much better it is to get wisdom than gold! And to get understanding is to be chosen above silver.

By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter,choosing rather to endure ill treatment with the people of God than to enjoy the temporary pleasures of sin,considering the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures of Egypt; for he was looking to the reward.

But whatever things were gain to me, these things I have counted as loss because of Christ.More than that, I count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them mere rubbish, so that I may gain Christ,and may be found in Him, not having a righteousness of my own derived from the Law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which comes from God on the basis of faith,

So then, none of you can be My disciple who does not give up all his own possessions.

for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Buy truth, and do not sell it, Get wisdom, instruction, and understanding.

But when he had heard these things, he became very sad, for he was extremely wealthy.And Jesus looked at him and said,“ How hard it is for those who are wealthy to enter the kingdom of God!

And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or farms on account of My name, will receive many times as much, and will inherit eternal life.

Then Peter responded and said to Him,“ Behold, we have left everything and followed You; what then will there be for us?”

“ You there! Everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; And you who have no money come, buy and eat. Come, buy wine and milk Without money and without cost.

I advise you to buy from Me gold refined by fire so that you may become rich, and white garments so that you may clothe yourself and the shame of your nakedness will not be revealed; and eye salve to apply to your eyes so that you may see.

but just as it is written:“ Things which eye has not seen and ear has not heard, And which have not entered the human heart, All that God has prepared for those who love Him.”For to us God revealed them through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God.

Jesus said to him,“ If you want to be complete, go and sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.”

And all the believers were together and had all things in common;and they would sell their property and possessions and share them with all, to the extent that anyone had need.Day by day continuing with one mind in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they were taking their meals together with gladness and sincerity of heart,praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord was adding to their number day by day those who were being saved.

Jesus presented another parable to them, saying,“ The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field.

And he hurried and came down, and received Him joyfully.When the people saw this, they all began to complain, saying,“ He has gone in to be the guest of a man who is a sinner!”But Zaccheus stopped and said to the Lord,“ Behold, Lord, half of my possessions I am giving to the poor, and if I have extorted anything from anyone, I am giving back four times as much.”

For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.When Christ, who is our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory.

For you showed sympathy to the prisoners and accepted joyfully the seizure of your property, knowing that you have for yourselves a better and lasting possession.

And the congregation of those who believed were of one heart and soul; and not one of them claimed that anything belonging to him was his own, but all things were common property to them.And with great power the apostles were giving testimony to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and abundant grace was upon them all.For there was not a needy person among them, for all who were owners of land or houses would sell them and bring the proceeds of the salesand lay them at the apostles’ feet, and they would be distributed to each to the extent that any had need.

Why is there money in the hand of a fool to buy wisdom, When he has no sense?

For whatever was written in earlier times was written for our instruction, so that through perseverance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.

Jesus said to them,“ I am the bread of life; the one who comes to Me will not be hungry, and the one who believes in Me will never be thirsty.

Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God.

One who separates himself seeks his own desire; He quarrels against all sound wisdom.
