留心側耳聽智慧，傾心求明哲；你若呼求聰明，揚聲求明哲，尋求它如尋求銀礦，搜尋它如搜尋寶藏，那麼你就明白敬畏永恆主的道理，找到認識上帝的門路。

在基督裏面乃包蘊着一切智慧知識之寶藏。

得智慧勝過得黃金；得明達勝於選得銀子。

因着信、摩西長大的時候、拒絕稱為法老女兒的兒子；寧可選擇跟上帝的子民同受虐待，也不願意有罪惡中暫時的享受。因為他看被膏者所要受的辱罵、比埃及的寶藏為更大的財富：他轉臉注視着那賞報。

但從前於我為贏得的、這一切、我為基督的緣故都看做虧損了。不但如此，為了要得認識我主基督耶穌——這種認識之至寶，我竟將萬事都看做虧損了；為了他，我已經虧損了一切，看做糞土，為要贏得基督，而常在他裏面；不是有我自己的義、那以律法為本的義，乃是有那憑着信基督的義、那由上帝而來、以信為條件的義；

所以這樣：你們各人、凡不跟自己的一切資財訣絕的，都不能做我的門徒。

因為你的財寶在哪裏，你的心也必在哪裏。

要購買真理；不可出賣真理；要購買智慧、管教、和明達。

他聽見這些話，就很憂困；因為他是極有錢的。耶穌看他，就說：『有錢財的人進上帝的國、何等的難哪！

凡為了我的名撇下了房屋、或弟兄或姐妹、或父親或母親、或兒女、或田地的、就必收受許多倍，並承受得永生。

於是彼得回答耶穌說：『你看，我們已經撇下了一切，跟從了你了，那我們還可以得到甚麼呢？』

『哦，口渴的人哪，個個來到水邊哦！沒有銀錢的人哪，來買去喫哦！不用銀錢，不用付代價，來買酒和奶子哦！

我替你出主意，你要從我買那經火鍛煉的金子，使你得財富；也買白衣披上，讓你赤裸的下體不露出；又買膏藥膏進你的眼，使你能看見。

不，這乃是像經上所記：『上帝給愛他的人所豫備的、是眼睛沒有看見過、耳朵沒有聽見過、人心沒有思想過的。』上帝向我們、竟藉着靈給啓示出來了；靈探索透萬事，連上帝之深奧也探索透了。

耶穌對他說：『你若想要作到完全，就該去變賣你的資財、給予窮人，你就有財寶在天上；你來吧，來跟從我。』

信的人都在一處，凡物共有。他們賣了田產家業，分給眾人、照人所需要的。並且同心合意，天天恆心專務於殿裏的敬拜，又在家中擘餅，存歡樂坦樸之心分享食物，頌讚上帝，對全體眾民保持着好感。主將得救的人天天加在一處。

耶穌把另一個比喻擺在他們面前，說：『天國好比一個人撒好種子在他的田地裏。

他就趕快下來，歡歡喜喜地招待耶穌。眾人看見，都唧唧咕咕地彼此議論說，『「罪人」家裏、他還進去投宿呢！』撒該站着，對主說；主啊，你看，我把我資財的一半給予窮人；若訛詐了誰，就四倍償還。』

因為你們已經死了，你們的生命是與基督一同藏在上帝裏面的。基督、我們的生命、顯現的時候、那時你們也必和他一同顯現在榮耀中。

你們同情於被捆鎖的人，又以喜樂的心接受你們資財之被勒索，知道自己有較好而長存的家業。

那一羣信眾都一心一意；沒有一個人說他的資財有一樣是自己的；他們的東西都大家共有。使徒用大能力提出主耶穌復活的見證來；眾人都大蒙恩惠。他們中間沒有一個貧乏的，因為凡是業主、有園地或房屋的、都變賣了，把所賣的價錢拿來，放在使徒腳旁；照人所需要的分給各人。

愚頑人既全無心思，其手裏哪有價銀可買智慧呢？

凡從前所寫的經，都是要讓我們受教訓而寫的，使我們由於堅忍、由於經上的鼓勵、能持守着盼望。

耶穌對他們說：『我、就是生命的餅；來找我的、必定不餓；信我的、必定永遠不渴。

要讓基督的話豐豐富富地住在你們裏面，用各樣智慧彼此教導勸戒，以「詩篇」、頌詞、靈歌、帶着感恩的情調、用心詠讚上帝。

離羣索居的人逕尋求着托詞，對任何忠告暴發反感。
