So the words spoken by the prophet came true. He had said,“ I will open my mouth and tell stories. I will speak about things that were hidden since the world was made.”( Psalm 78:2)

God told me to make clear to everyone how the mystery came about. In times past it was kept hidden in the mind of God, who created all things.

No, we announce God’s wisdom. His wisdom is a mystery that has been hidden. But before time began, God planned that his wisdom would bring us heavenly glory.

May God receive glory. He is able to strengthen your faith. He does this in keeping with the good news and the message I preach. It is the message about Jesus Christ. This message is in keeping with the mystery hidden for a very long time.The mystery has now been made known through the writings of the prophets. The eternal God commanded that it be made known. God wanted all the Gentiles to obey him by trusting in him.

He was chosen before God created the world. But he came into the world for your sake in these last days.Because of what Christ has done, you believe in God. It was God who raised him from the dead. And it was God who gave him glory. So your faith and hope are in God.

“ Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am. I want them to see my glory, the glory you have given me. You gave it to me because you loved me before the world was created.

“ Then the King will speak to those on his right. He will say,‘ My Father has blessed you. Come and take what is yours. It is the kingdom prepared for you since the world was created.

The mystery was not made known to people of other times. But now the Holy Spirit has made this mystery known to God’s holy apostles and prophets.

The Lord and King never does anything without telling his servants the prophets about it.

I serve the church. God appointed me to bring the complete word of God to you.That word contains the mystery that has been hidden for many ages. But now it has been made known to the Lord’s people.

That belief and understanding lead to the hope of eternal life. Before time began, God promised to give that life. And he does not lie.Now, at just the right time, he has made his promise clear. He did this through the preaching that he trusted me with. God our Savior has commanded all these things.

What I said would happen has taken place. Now I announce new things to you. Before they even begin to happen, I announce them to you.”

Many people who live on the earth will worship the beast. They are the ones whose names are not written in the Lamb’s book of life. The Lamb is the one whose death was planned before the world was created.

In them the words of the prophet Isaiah come true. He said,“‘ You will hear but never understand. You will see but never know what you are seeing.

God has saved us. He has chosen us to live a holy life. It wasn’t because of anything we have done. It was because of his own purpose and grace. Through Christ Jesus, God gave us this grace even before time began.It has now been made known through the coming of our Savior, Christ Jesus. He has broken the power of death. Because of the good news, he has brought life out into the light. That life never dies.

They wanted to find out when and how this salvation would come. The Spirit of Christ in them was telling them about the sufferings of the Messiah. These were his sufferings that were going to come. The Spirit of Christ was also telling them about the glory that would follow.It was made known to the prophets that they were not serving themselves. On judgment day it will be easier for Tyre and Sidon than for you.

The beast that you saw used to exist and now does not. Yet it will come up out of the Abyss and be destroyed. Some people on the earth will be amazed when they see the beast. Their names have not been written in the book of life from the time the world was created. They will be amazed at the beast. That’s because it will come again even though it used to exist and now does not.

This took place so that what was spoken through the prophet would come true. It says,“ Say to the city of Zion,‘ See, your king comes to you. He is gentle and riding on a donkey. He is riding on a donkey’s colt.’ ”( Zechariah 9:9)

In the past, God spoke to our people through the prophets. He spoke at many times. He spoke in different ways.

The Lord does things that have been known from long ago.
