耶穌又說：「我們可用甚麼來比擬上帝的國呢？可用甚麼比喻來說明呢？它像一粒芥菜種，種在地裏的時候，雖比地上所有的種子都小，但種下去以後，它長起來，比各樣的菜都大，又長出大枝，以致天上的飛鳥可以在它的蔭下築巢。」

耶穌對他們說：「是因你們的信心小。我實在告訴你們，你們若有信心像一粒芥菜種，就是對這座山說：『你從這邊移到那邊』，它也會移過去，並且你們沒有一件不能做的事了。」

耶穌又設個比喻對他們說：「天國好比人撒好種在田裏，

主說：「你們若有信心像一粒芥菜種，就是對這棵桑樹說：『你要連根拔起，栽在海裏』，它也會聽從你們。」

耶穌用這個比喻對百姓說：「有人開墾了一個葡萄園，租給園戶，就出外遠行，去了許久。

眾人正聽見這些話的時候，耶穌因為將近耶路撒冷，又因他們以為上帝的國快要顯現，就接着講了一個比喻，
