主人對曰：「讐人所為也。」傭曰：「吾儕即往薅之如何？」

主人说：‘这是仇敌做的。’仆人说：‘你要我们去薅出来吗？’

主人回答他们：‘这是仇敌做的。’仆人对他说：‘你要我们去拔掉吗？’

“主人回答说，‘这是仇敌做的。’奴仆问道，‘要我们去拔掉它们吗？’

他回答：‘这是仇敌所作的。’仆人问他：‘你要我们去拔掉它吗？’

“主人告诉他们：‘这是仇敌做的。’“奴仆问：‘那么，你要我们去把稗子拔掉吗？’

主人說：『這是仇敵做的。』僕人說：『你要我們去薅出來嗎？』

“‘ An enemy did this,’ he replied.“ The servants asked him,‘ Do you want us to go and pull them up?’

“‘ An enemy did this,’ he replied.“ The slaves asked him,‘ Do you want us to go and pull up the weeds?’

He said to them,‘ An enemy has done this.’ So the servants said to him,‘ Then do you want us to go and gather them?’

“‘ An enemy has done this!’ the farmer exclaimed.“‘ Should we pull out the weeds?’ they asked.

“‘ An enemy did this,’ he told them.“‘ So, do you want us to go and pull them up?’ the servants asked him.

And he said to them,‘ An enemy has done this!’ The slaves* said to him,‘ Do you want us, then, to go and gather them up?’

He said to them,‘ An enemy has done this.’ The servants said to him,‘ Do you want us then to go and gather them up?’

And he said unto them, An enemy hath done this. And the servants say unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?

“‘ An enemy did this!’ he told them.“‘ So, do you want us to go and gather them up?’ the slaves asked him.

He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?

He said,‘ An enemy has done this.’ So the slaves replied,‘ Do you want us to go and gather them?’

“ He said to them,‘ An enemy has done this.’“ The servants asked him,‘ Do you want us to go and gather them up?’

吾身雖在遠方、心則與爾等相俱；於此亂倫之人、予已判其罪矣。爾等奉耶穌基督名義召集會議、吾之神魂亦必參加斯會；吾人托吾主耶穌之權能、將此人交付於沙殫之手、以毀其肉身庶幾彼之靈魂、或可蒙救恩於主之大日。爾等實無誇耀之理由。豈不知些須之酵、能醱全飥乎？爾須徹底澄清舊酵俾爾得成新飥、一如爾因聖洗而成無酵之餅。蓋吾人之免難羔羊基督之自獻、即欲為吾人清除舊酵耳。

最宜和睦。如有不守本分者、望兄弟加以勸告。鼓勵懦者、扶持弱者、寬裕忍耐、足以有容。

若望曰：『夫子、吾儕曾見一人、藉爾名以祛鬼魔；以其非吾黨中人、故禁之。』耶穌曰：『毋禁！蓋不與爾相敵者、即附爾者也。』耶穌昇天之期既近、遂毅然決然嚮往耶路撒冷、命使者前行。使者至色馬里村、為之預備、邑人以其顯欲赴耶路撒冷也、不願予以接納；厥徒雅谷伯若望睹此、乃曰：『主欲吾儕召天火下降、以焚其人乎？』

彼所受於爾眾之責、亦已備矣。爾等亟應強恕之、安慰之；不然、彼或將因過於憂戚而從此沉淪、不能自振也。故千乞向彼證爾愛德。蓋前書所云、亦不過欲借此測驗爾等之服從否耳。要之、爾等所恕者、我亦恕之。須知凡我有所恕、無不在基督之前、為爾等之故而為之也；庶幾吾人不致為沙殫所乘；彼之詭計、吾人亦知之稔矣。

對於不信之人、可矜者矜之、為釋其疑；可救者救之、猶如搶物於火；其他則哀矜而加以戒懼、避之若浼；即其身體所玷污之衣裳、亦宜深惡而痛絕之也。
