「主人告訴他們：『這是仇敵做的。』「奴僕問：『那麼，你要我們去把稗子拔掉嗎？』

主人说：‘这是仇敌做的。’仆人说：‘你要我们去薅出来吗？’

主人回答他们：‘这是仇敌做的。’仆人对他说：‘你要我们去拔掉吗？’

主人回答他们：‘这是仇敌做的。’仆人对他说：‘你要我们去拔掉吗？’

“主人回答说，‘这是仇敌做的。’奴仆问道，‘要我们去拔掉它们吗？’

他回答：‘这是仇敌所作的。’仆人问他：‘你要我们去拔掉它吗？’

“主人告诉他们：‘这是仇敌做的。’“奴仆问：‘那么，你要我们去把稗子拔掉吗？’

他對他們說：『是有個敵人行了這事的。』奴僕對他說：『那你願意我們去薅出來麼？』

曰、敵為之、僕曰、我往薅之、可乎、

主人對曰：「讐人所為也。」傭曰：「吾儕即往薅之如何？」

“‘ An enemy did this,’ he replied.“ The servants asked him,‘ Do you want us to go and pull them up?’

“‘ An enemy did this,’ he replied.“ The slaves asked him,‘ Do you want us to go and pull up the weeds?’

He said to them,‘ An enemy has done this.’ So the servants said to him,‘ Then do you want us to go and gather them?’

“‘ An enemy has done this!’ the farmer exclaimed.“‘ Should we pull out the weeds?’ they asked.

“‘ An enemy did this,’ he told them.“‘ So, do you want us to go and pull them up?’ the servants asked him.

And he said to them,‘ An enemy has done this!’ The slaves* said to him,‘ Do you want us, then, to go and gather them up?’

He said to them,‘ An enemy has done this.’ The servants said to him,‘ Do you want us then to go and gather them up?’

And he said unto them, An enemy hath done this. And the servants say unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?

“‘ An enemy did this!’ he told them.“‘ So, do you want us to go and gather them up?’ the slaves asked him.

He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?

He said,‘ An enemy has done this.’ So the slaves replied,‘ Do you want us to go and gather them?’

“ He said to them,‘ An enemy has done this.’“ The servants asked him,‘ Do you want us to go and gather them up?’

要知道，我雖然身體不在你們那裡，但靈裡卻在你們那裡；我已經像在你們那裡一樣審判了做這事的人。當你們聚集，與我的靈和我們主耶穌的權能同在的時候，你們要奉我們主耶穌的名，把這樣的人交給撒旦，使他的肉體毀滅，好讓他的靈魂在主的日子可以得救。你們誇耀是不好的。難道你們不知道，一點點酵母能使整個麵團發酵嗎？你們應當把那舊的酵母除淨，好使你們成為新的麵團，就像你們是無酵的那樣；因為實際上，我們逾越節的羔羊——基督已經被獻上了。

弟兄們，我們勸你們：要勸誡懶散的人，安慰膽怯的人，扶助軟弱的人，對所有的人都要恆久忍耐。

約翰回答說：「老師，我們看見一個人奉你的名驅趕鬼魔，我們就去阻止他，因為他不與我們一起跟從你。」耶穌對他說：「不要阻止他，因為不反對你們的，就是支持你們的。」耶穌升天的日子快到了，他就堅定地面向耶路撒冷而去。他派了幾個使者在他前頭。他們就去了，進到撒馬利亞人的一個村子，要為他做預備。但那裡的人不接受他，因為他是往耶路撒冷去的。門徒雅各和約翰看見了，就說：「主啊，你要我們吩咐火從天上降下來燒滅他們嗎？」

這樣的人，受了大多數人的那懲罰已經夠了。所以，你們反而更要饒恕他、安慰他，免得他被過度的憂傷吞沒了。因此，我懇求你們向他證實你們的愛。其實我也為此寫了信，就是要知道你們經過考驗的品德：你們是否在一切事上都順從。你們在任何事上饒恕了誰，我也饒恕誰；實際上，我如果饒恕了什麼，我所饒恕的，就是在基督面前為了你們的緣故而饒恕的，免得被撒旦占了上風，因為我們不是不明白它的意圖。

有些人疑惑不定，你們要憐憫他們；有些人，你們要把他們從火裡搶出來，拯救他們；有些人，你們要懷著懼怕的心憐憫他們，連他們被肉慾玷汙的衣服也要恨惡。
