家主的奴僕上前來，對他說：『主人哪，你不是撒好種子在田地裏麼？從哪裏有稗子呢？』

奴僕前來問那家的主人，說：『主人，你不是把好種子撒在你的田裡嗎？從哪裡來的這些稗子呢？』

家主之僕來告曰、主、非播美種於田乎、何以有稗也、

家傭謂主人曰：「主所播於斯田者、非佳種乎？顧荑稗何自而來耶？」

“ The owner’s servants came to him and said,‘ Sir, didn’t you sow good seed in your field? Where then did the weeds come from?’

“ The owner’s slaves came to him. They said,‘ Sir, didn’t you plant good seed in your field? Then where did the weeds come from?’

And the servants of the master of the house came and said to him,‘ Master, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have weeds?’

“ The farmer’s workers went to him and said,‘ Sir, the field where you planted that good seed is full of weeds! Where did they come from?’

And the slaves of the landowner came and said to him,‘ Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have weeds?’

So the servants of the owner came and said to him,‘ sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?’

And the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst thou not sow good seed in thy field? whence then hath it tares?

The landowner’s slaves came to him and said,‘ Master, didn’t you sow good seed in your field? Then where did the weeds come from?’

So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares?

So the slaves of the owner came and said to him,‘ Sir, didn’t you sow good seed in your field? Then where did the weeds come from?’

The servants of the householder came and said to him,‘ Sir, didn’t you sow good seed in your field? Where did these darnel weeds come from?’

Now I urge you, brothers and sisters, to watch out for those who create divisions and obstacles contrary to the teaching that you learned. Avoid them,

If Timothy comes, see that he has nothing to fear while with you, because he is doing the Lord’s work, just as I am.

Everything is from God, who has reconciled us to himself through Christ and has given us the ministry of reconciliation.That is, in Christ, God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and he has committed the message of reconciliation to us.Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, since God is making his appeal through us. We plead on Christ’s behalf,“ Be reconciled to God.”

And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, next miracles, then gifts of healing, helping, leading, various kinds of tongues.Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all do miracles?

Instead, as God’s ministers, we commend ourselves in everything: by great endurance, by afflictions, by hardships, by difficulties,

Working together with him, we also appeal to you,“ Don’t receive the grace of God in vain.”

For it has been reported to me about you, my brothers and sisters, by members of Chloe’s people, that there is rivalry among you.What I am saying is this: One of you says,“ I belong to Paul,” or“ I belong to Apollos,” or“ I belong to Cephas,” or“ I belong to Christ.”Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized in Paul’s name?

Now if Christ is proclaimed as raised from the dead, how can some of you say,“ There is no resurrection of the dead”?If there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised;and if Christ has not been raised, then our proclamation is in vain, and so is your faith.Moreover, we are found to be false witnesses about God, because we have testified wrongly about God that he raised up Christ— whom he did not raise up, if in fact the dead are not raised.For if the dead are not raised, not even Christ has been raised.And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is worthless; you are still in your sins.Those, then, who have fallen asleep in Christ have also perished.If we have put our hope in Christ for this life only, we should be pitied more than anyone.But as it is, Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep.For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead also comes through a man.For just as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive.But each in his own order: Christ, the firstfruits; afterward, at his coming, those who belong to Christ.Then comes the end, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father, when he abolishes all rule and all authority and power.For he must reign until he puts all his enemies under his feet.The last enemy to be abolished is death.For God has put everything under his feet. Now when it says“ everything” is put under him, it is obvious that he who puts everything under him is the exception.When everything is subject to Christ, then the Son himself will also be subject to the one who subjected everything to him, so that God may be all in all.Otherwise what will they do who are being baptized for the dead? If the dead are not raised at all, then why are people baptized for them?Why are we in danger every hour?I face death every day, as surely as I may boast about you, brothers and sisters, in Christ Jesus our Lord.If I fought wild beasts in Ephesus as a mere man, what good did that do me? If the dead are not raised, Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die.Do not be deceived:“ Bad company corrupts good morals.”Come to your senses and stop sinning; for some people are ignorant about God. I say this to your shame.

Such wisdom does not come down from above but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic.For where there is envy and selfish ambition, there is disorder and every evil practice.

You adulterous people! Don’t you know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? So whoever wants to be the friend of the world becomes the enemy of God.

You foolish Galatians! Who has cast a spell on you, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was publicly portrayed as crucified?I only want to learn this from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law or by believing what you heard?Are you so foolish? After beginning by the Spirit, are you now finishing by the flesh?

And he himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers,to equip the saints for the work of ministry, to build up the body of Christ,

What then is Apollos? What is Paul? They are servants through whom you believed, and each has the role the Lord has given.I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth.So, then, neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth.Now he who plants and he who waters are one, and each will receive his own reward according to his own labor.For we are God’s coworkers. You are God’s field, God’s building.
