Another parable He spoke to them:“ The kingdom of heaven is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal till it was all leavened.”

Therefore the kingdom of heaven is like a certain king who wanted to settle accounts with his servants.

When anyone hears the word of the kingdom, and does not understand it, then the wicked one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is he who received seed by the wayside.

“ Hear another parable: There was a certain landowner who planted a vineyard and set a hedge around it, dug a winepress in it and built a tower. And he leased it to vinedressers and went into a far country.

And He said,“ The kingdom of God is as if a man should scatter seed on the ground,and should sleep by night and rise by day, and the seed should sprout and grow, he himself does not know how.For the earth yields crops by itself: first the blade, then the head, after that the full grain in the head.But when the grain ripens, immediately he puts in the sickle, because the harvest has come.”Then He said,“ To what shall we liken the kingdom of God? Or with what parable shall we picture it?

having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever,

Then He said,“ What is the kingdom of God like? And to what shall I compare it?

because of the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, of which you heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel,

Then Samson said to them,“ Let me pose a riddle to you. If you can correctly solve and explain it to me within the seven days of the feast, then I will give you thirty linen garments and thirty changes of clothing.But if you cannot explain it to me, then you shall give me thirty linen garments and thirty changes of clothing.” And they said to him,“ Pose your riddle, that we may hear it.”

But the word of the Lord was to them,“ Precept upon precept, precept upon precept, Line upon line, line upon line, Here a little, there a little,” That they might go and fall backward, and be broken And snared and caught.

“ Son of man, pose a riddle, and speak a parable to the house of Israel,

For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept, Line upon line, line upon line, Here a little, there a little.”
