The field is the world, and the good seed is the sons of the kingdom. The weeds are the sons of the evil one,

Therefore we must pay much closer attention to what we have heard, lest we drift away from it.

But we have renounced disgraceful, underhanded ways. We refuse to practice cunning or to tamper with God’s word, but by the open statement of the truth we would commend ourselves to everyone’s conscience in the sight of God.And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing.

Wisdom cries aloud in the street, in the markets she raises her voice;at the head of the noisy streets she cries out; at the entrance of the city gates she speaks:“ How long, O simple ones, will you love being simple? How long will scoffers delight in their scoffing and fools hate knowledge?

My son, if you receive my words and treasure up my commandments with you,making your ear attentive to wisdom and inclining your heart to understanding;yes, if you call out for insight and raise your voice for understanding,if you seek it like silver and search for it as for hidden treasures,then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God.For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding;

and he sent them out to proclaim the kingdom of God and to heal.

Heal the sick in it and say to them,‘ The kingdom of God has come near to you.’

Why should a fool have money in his hand to buy wisdom when he has no sense?

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction.

And now, behold, I know that none of you among whom I have gone about proclaiming the kingdom will see my face again.
