「人子啊，你住在悖逆之家中；他們有眼可看卻看不見，有耳可聽卻聽不到，因為他們是悖逆之家。

「愚昧無知的百姓啊，你們有眼不看，有耳不聽，現在當聽這話。

即使我們的福音被遮蔽，那只是對滅亡的人遮蔽。這些不信的人被這世界的神明弄瞎了心眼，使他們看不見基督榮耀的福音。基督本是上帝的像。

他們既無知，又不思想；因為耶和華蒙蔽他們的眼，使他們看不見，塞住他們的心，使他們不明白。

光來到世上，世人因自己的行為是惡的，不愛光，倒愛黑暗，這就定了他們的罪。凡作惡的人都恨惡光，不來接近光，恐怕他的行為被暴露。

耶穌說：「我為審判到這世上來，使不能看見的看見，能看見的反而失明。」同他在那裏的法利賽人聽見這些話，就對他說：「難道我們也失明了嗎？」耶穌對他們說：「你們若是失明的，就沒有罪了；但現在你們說『我們能看見』，你們的罪還在。」

就是你親眼看見的大考驗，那些神蹟和大奇事。但耶和華到今日還沒有使你們心能明白，眼能看見，耳能聽見。

你們這耳聾的，聽吧！你們這眼瞎的，看吧，使你們得以看見！誰比我的僕人眼瞎呢？誰比我所差遣的使者耳聾呢？誰瞎眼像那獻身給我的人？誰瞎眼像耶和華的僕人呢？看見許多事卻不領會，耳朵開通卻聽不見。

但你們的眼睛是有福的，因為看得見；你們的耳朵也是有福的，因為聽得見。

耶穌知道了，就說：「你們為甚麼因為沒有餅就議論呢？你們還不領悟，還不明白嗎？你們的心還是愚頑嗎？你們有眼睛，看不見嗎？有耳朵，聽不到嗎？也不記得嗎？
