This is why I speak to them in parables:“ Though seeing, they do not see; though hearing, they do not hear or understand.

Here is why I use stories when I speak to the people. I say,“ They look, but they don’t really see. They listen, but they don’t really hear or understand.

“人子啊，你住在叛逆的人当中。他们有眼睛却视而不见，有耳朵却听而不闻，因为他们是叛逆的人。

‘听着，你们这群愚昧无知的人啊，你们视而不见，听而不闻。

然而，即使我们所传的福音被遮蔽，也是在那些灭亡的人当中被遮蔽。那些不信的人是被这世界的神弄瞎了心眼，以致看不见基督荣耀的福音之光。基督是上帝的本像。

他们愚昧无知，因为眼睛被封住以致看不见，心窍被塞住以致不明白。

光来到世上，世人因为自己的行为邪恶而不爱光，反爱黑暗，这就是他们被定罪的原因。作恶的人恨光，不肯接近光，恐怕他们的罪行暴露出来。

耶稣说：“我为了审判来到这世界，使瞎眼的可以看见，使看得见的反成了瞎眼的。”有些跟祂在一起的法利赛人听了这句话，就问：“难道我们也瞎了眼吗？”耶稣说：“如果你们是瞎眼的，就没有罪了。但现在你们自称看得见，所以你们的罪还在。”

怎样降下巨大的灾难，行伟大的神迹奇事。但耶和华至今还没有赐给你们能明白的心、能看见的眼、能听清的耳。

“耳聋的人啊，听吧！眼瞎的人啊，看吧！有谁比我的仆人更瞎，比我差遣的使者更聋呢？有谁像那些与我立约的人那样瞎呢？有谁像耶和华的仆人那样瞎呢？你们看见许多事却不领会，耳朵开着却听不见。”

“但你们的眼睛是有福的，因为看得见；你们的耳朵也是有福的，因为听得见。

耶稣知道他们的心思，就说：“你们为什么议论没有带饼的事呢？难道你们还不明白、不领悟吗？你们的心还是愚顽吗？你们有眼不会看，有耳不会听吗？你们不记得吗？
