永恆主說：『你們所獻的許多祭物、對我有甚麼益處？公綿羊的燔祭和肥畜的脂油、我飽飫了；公牛的血、羊羔和公山羊的血、我都不喜悅。你們來朝見我，誰向你們要這踐踏我院子的舉動呢？不要再帶虛浮的供物來了；獻祭的燻氣是我所厭惡；月初一和安息日、聚會之召集——禁食和聖節會、我容忍不住。你們的月初一和制定節期、我心裏恨惡：這些已成了累着我的重擔；我都揹得膩了。你們伸開雙手來禱告，我必掩目不看你們；就使你們多多禱告，我也不聽；你們的手都滿了血，你們的指頭滿了罪孽。你們要洗澡、使自己純潔；從我眼前除掉你們行為之敗壞；要止住作惡，要學習行善；尋求公平，糾正殘暴的人，為孤兒伸冤，為寡婦辯訴。』

定惡人為義、定義人為惡的、二者都是永恆主所厭惡。

耶穌回答他們說：『你們錯了，是因為你們不明白經典，也不曉得上帝的能力。

你們定了義人的罪，把他殺了；他不敵擋你們！

而在耶路撒冷居住的人和他們的議員卻不認識這個人，也不明白每安息日所宣讀的神言人的話，竟給定了罪、而應驗了這些神言人的話。

因為他站在窮人右邊，來救他脫離定他死罪的人。

他也向約伯的三個朋友發怒，因為他們雖以約伯為有罪，卻找不到回答的話來。

結夥攻害義人的性命，將無辜流血的人定了死罪的，能跟你聯合麼？
