I tell you that something more important than the temple is here.

The men of Nineveh will stand up at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and now something greater than Jonah is here.The Queen of the South will rise at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for she came from the ends of the earth to listen to Solomon’s wisdom, and now something greater than Solomon is here.

“ I will send my messenger, who will prepare the way before me. Then suddenly the Lord you are seeking will come to his temple; the messenger of the covenant, whom you desire, will come,” says the Lord Almighty.

For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form,

“ But will God really dwell on earth with humans? The heavens, even the highest heavens, cannot contain you. How much less this temple I have built!

As you come to him, the living Stone— rejected by humans but chosen by God and precious to him—you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

Jesus answered them,“ Destroy this temple, and I will raise it again in three days.”They replied,“ It has taken forty- six years to build this temple, and you are going to raise it in three days?”But the temple he had spoken of was his body.

built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone.In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord.And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.

You blind fools! Which is greater: the gold, or the temple that makes the gold sacred?You also say,‘ If anyone swears by the altar, it means nothing; but anyone who swears by the gift on the altar is bound by that oath.’You blind men! Which is greater: the gift, or the altar that makes the gift sacred?Therefore, anyone who swears by the altar swears by it and by everything on it.And anyone who swears by the temple swears by it and by the one who dwells in it.

I will shake all nations, and what is desired by all nations will come, and I will fill this house with glory,’ says the Lord Almighty.‘ The silver is mine and the gold is mine,’ declares the Lord Almighty.‘ The glory of this present house will be greater than the glory of the former house,’ says the Lord Almighty.‘ And in this place I will grant peace,’ declares the Lord Almighty.”
