For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.”

You are My friends if you do what I command you.

But He answered and said to them,“ My mother and My brothers are these who hear the word of God and do it.”

For both He who sanctifies and those who are sanctified are all from one Father; for this reason He is not ashamed to call them brothers and sisters,saying,“ I will proclaim Your name to My brothers, In the midst of the assembly I will sing Your praise.”And again,“ I will put My trust in Him.” And again,“ Behold, I and the children whom God has given Me.”Therefore, since the children share in flesh and blood, He Himself likewise also partook of the same, so that through death He might destroy the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil,and free those who through fear of death were subject to slavery all their lives.For clearly He does not give help to angels, but He gives help to the descendants of Abraham.Therefore, in all things He had to be made like His brothers so that He might become a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people.

Therefore, ridding yourselves of all filthiness and all that remains of wickedness, in humility receive the word implanted, which is able to save your souls.But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not just hearers who deceive themselves.

Jesus answered and said to them,“ This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He has sent.”

Then Jesus* said to them,“ Do not be afraid; go, bring word to My brothers to leave for Galilee, and there they will see Me.”

For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters;

to the older women as mothers, and to the younger women as sisters, in all purity.

The world is passing away and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God continues to live forever.

This is His commandment, that we believe in the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, just as He commanded us.The one who keeps His commandments remains in Him, and He in him. We know by this that He remains in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us.

For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life, and I Myself will raise him up on the last day.”

While Jesus was saying these things, one of the women in the crowd raised her voice and said to Him,“ Blessed is the womb that carried You, and the breasts at which You nursed!”But He said,“ On the contrary, blessed are those who hear the word of God and follow it.”

So when Jesus saw His mother, and the disciple whom He loved standing nearby, He* said to His mother,“ Woman, behold, your son!”Then He* said to the disciple,“ Behold, your mother!” And from that hour the disciple took her into his own household.

so as to live the rest of the time in the flesh no longer for human lusts, but for the will of God.

Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her,so that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word,that He might present to Himself the church in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she would be holy and blameless.

Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they will have the right to the tree of life, and may enter the city by the gates.

For neither is circumcision anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creation.

And having been perfected, He became the source of eternal salvation for all those who obey Him,

For I am jealous for you with a godly jealousy; for I betrothed you to one husband, to present you as a pure virgin to Christ.

a renewal in which there is no distinction between Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave, and free, but Christ is all, and in all.

You have enchanted my heart, my sister, my bride; You have enchanted my heart with a single glance of your eyes, With a single strand of your necklace.How beautiful is your love, my sister, my bride! How much sweeter is your love than wine, And the fragrance of your oils Than that of all kinds of balsam oils!

Jesus* said to her,“ Stop clinging to Me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to My brothers and say to them,‘ I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and My God and your God.’ ”

And the King will answer and say to them,‘ Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it for one of the least of these brothers or sisters of Mine, you did it for Me.’

Then He will answer them,‘ Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did not do it for one of the least of these, you did not do it for Me, either.’

For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything, but faith working through love.

So then, you will know them by their fruits.“ Not everyone who says to Me,‘ Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.

So having overlooked the times of ignorance, God is now proclaiming to mankind that all people everywhere are to repent,

While he was still speaking, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and behold, a voice from the cloud said,“ This is My beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased; listen to Him!”

I will proclaim Your name to my brothers; In the midst of the assembly I will praise You.

“ I have come into my garden, my sister, my bride; I have gathered my myrrh along with my balsam. I have eaten my honeycomb with my honey; I have drunk my wine with my milk. Eat, friends; Drink and drink deeply, lovers.”“ I was asleep but my heart was awake. A voice! My beloved was knocking:‘ Open to me, my sister, my darling, My dove, my perfect one! For my head is drenched with dew, My locks with the dew drops of the night.’

and after he brought them out, he said,“ Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”They said,“ Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.”

Moses said,‘ The Lord God will raise up for you a prophet like me from your countrymen; to Him you shall listen regarding everything He says to you.And it shall be that every soul that does not listen to that prophet shall be utterly destroyed from among the people.’

but continually proclaimed to those in Damascus first, and in Jerusalem, and then all the region of Judea, and even to the Gentiles, that they are to repent and turn to God, performing deeds consistent with repentance.

Do we not have a right to take along a believing wife, even as the rest of the apostles and the brothers of the Lord, and Cephas?
