Jesus pointed to his disciples. He said,“ Here is my mother! Here are my brothers!

And he stretched forth his hand towards his disciples, and said, Behold, my mother and my brethren!

Then he looked at those seated in a circle around him and said,“ Here are my mother and my brothers!

For I gave them the words you gave me and they accepted them. They knew with certainty that I came from you, and they believed that you sent me.I pray for them. I am not praying for the world, but for those you have given me, for they are yours.

Then go quickly and tell his disciples:‘ He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.’ Now I have told you.”

Jesus said,“ Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them,‘ I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’”Mary Magdalene went to the disciples with the news:“ I have seen the Lord!” And she told them that he had said these things to her.On the evening of that first day of the week, when the disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the Jewish leaders, Jesus came and stood among them and said,“ Peace be with you!”After he said this, he showed them his hands and side. The disciples were overjoyed when they saw the Lord.
