Then it goes and takes with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that person is worse than the first. That is how it will be with this wicked generation.”

蓋人若曾蒙光照、曾味靈寵、曾受聖神、曾悟天主聖道之盡善盡美、與夫新興時代之偉大、而竟中途背棄聖道、若而人者、不啻親手重釘基督於十字架上、且當眾而辱之也。欲其再行悔過自新、尚可得乎？譬如地土、甘霖時降、飽受滋潤、而產百穀、有益於耕耘之人、則天主福焉。若其產荊棘蒺藜、則必被棄置、服咒詛結果亦惟有付諸一炬而已矣。

問其名、對曰：『吾名繁有徒、以吾黨極眾故耳。』

乃引更惡之七鬼以至、相與入而居之。其人之後患、必有甚焉者也。』

夫吾人既認識真道、如再明知故犯、則不復有贖罪之祭、而其所餘者、惟觳觫待刑、以候吞滅悖逆之燎火而已。昔人干犯摩西律法、根據二三人之證言、尚且殺之無貸；何況蹂躪天主聖子、輕慢聖德所本之盟血、褻瀆恩寵所自之聖神、爾謂其所當受之刑罰、更堪設想乎！『伸冤在我、報應不爽。』『惟彼上主、黜陟厥民。』吾人固知作是語者之為誰也。遭受永生天主之譴怒、可怖也已！

而此輩則不然；凡彼所不知之事、未悟之理、則大加慢罵、肆無忌憚；而彼所知者、惟五官之事、沉溺其中、至死不悟、其亦何異於禽獸乎。哀哉此輩、既追踵該因、步其後塵；且以利忘身、而流入巴賴之歧途；又不惜與可拉並肩作亂、而自取滅亡也。在爾等愛席之上、彼必與共、惟有恣其口腹、靦然自飽、以玷爾清潔耳。此輩實同無雨之雲、為風所逐；秋後之樹、不結果實；外枯中乾、根株盡拔。狂浪無鄉、長吐堪羞之沫；流星離宅、永歸漆黑之淵。

禮期首日、平旦、耶穌復活、先現於瑪達蘭之瑪麗、瑪麗者即耶穌曾逐七鬼出於其身者也。

心懷叵測、為玷為辱；眸子不正、惟見邪淫；意志薄弱者、受其誘惑；惟利是圖、實地獄中人也。若輩捨棄正道、流入歧途、與包掃兒之子巴拉盎實屬一路之人。彼巴拉盎者、貪戀不義之財、因過見懲、曾有驢作人聲斥責先知之狂妄焉。斯輩乃無水之泉源、又如浮雲隨風飄蕩、終歸無明而已矣。蓋斯輩大言不慚、提倡邪淫；凡初脫惡習者、鮮不受惑；以自由為號召、而自身則為腐敗之奴隸。蓋為邪惡所克者、即成邪惡之奴矣。夫既因認識吾主耶穌基督、而脫濁世之習氣、今復重入羅網、從此休矣！且其晚節必有較前更醜者焉。蓋與其知道而背命、孰若初未聞道之為愈乎？諺云：「犬有所吐、轉復茹之；母豬方潔、又入泥中。」此言茲若人之儔歟。

耶穌將抵國都、望城而泣曰：『汝倘能於此日、恍然了悟平安之所自、豈不美乎？奈何至今！汝目猶有所蒙也。定期將至、爾敵將周圍築壘、四面相逼、夷爾墉堞、滅爾子民、將無一片之石、仍留他石之上、凡此皆緣汝不識寵眷之日故也。』

爾見兄弟犯罪、情跡較輕尚不致死者、亟宜為之代求、主必賜以生命。若其所犯為致死之罪、則吾亦不強爾為之代求。一切諸惡、莫非罪也；然亦有非死罪者。

斯輩猶太人既殘殺主耶穌基督及眾先知、又復逐我同人、實天主之逆子、而人類之公敵也。吾儕欲傳道於異邦人以弘濟蒼生、若輩乃予以阻撓；因是若輩惡貫滿盈、而天主之盛怒、已臨其身矣。

爾瞽而作導者！蚋則濾之、駝則吞焉。

蓋吾人之對敵、非區區血氣之屬、乃諸品惡神、黑暗世界之權威領袖以及充塞雲霄之眾魔也。

哀哉爾經生與法利塞人、虛偽之徒也、蓋爾周行海陸、招人入教、既入、則引之為地獄子、較爾猶惡。

孰意園戶一見其子、乃共議曰：「斯乃厥嗣、我等盍共殺之、可佔其產：」於是執而殺之葡萄園外。爾思園主歸時、將如何處此園戶乎？』曰：『必殲此惡類、而以葡萄園另租良農、俾得按時收菓。』耶穌曰：『經云、「梓人所棄、乃成基石；主之所為、神妙莫測；」爾豈未寓目耶？故予告爾、天主之國必奪自爾手、而授諸能結嘉實之人。人若躓於斯石、受傷必重；斯石而隕於其身、體則糜矣。』

吾人則非畏首畏尾、終致淪亡之徒也；乃浩然不疑、自求靈祉之人也。

惟法利塞人聞之、則曰：『此人驅魔、惟恃魔君白爾責布。』

予苟未來施訓於人、其人尚可無咎、今則末由辭其咎矣。凡惡予者、即惡吾父也。予若未在眾前行人所不能行之靈蹟、則彼猶可無咎、今彼既睹之、而依然惡予與吾父也！

因此天主之妙慧、曾作警言曰：「予遣先知宗徒於若輩有為所害、有為所辱、故自有世以來、眾先知所流之血、咸將歸於斯代。」予誡語爾自亞伯之血、以至被害於殿壇間者撒迦利亞之血、悉將歸咎於斯代也。

乃祖惡貫、爾其盈之！嗟爾虺蝮之種將何以逃於地獄之刑乎？是故吾遣先知哲人經師於爾、爾或刃之釘之、或鞭之於會堂、逐之於諸邑、庶幾凡世上所流義血、自義者亞伯之血、以至殿臺間被殺者巴辣基子襍加理之血、皆歸於爾。吾誠告爾、凡此諸端、咸將歸責於斯代矣。耶路撒冷乎、嗟爾殘殺先知、石擊天主星使之耶路撒冷乎！吾之欲集爾子女、如牝雞之覆翼其雛者、不已頻乎？而爾終莫之許也。今者爾室其墟矣！蓋吾語爾、自今而後、以至爾歡呼「奉主名而來者、洵堪頌揚」之日、爾將不得睹予矣。』

經云：『天主已使其冥頑不靈、有目而不能見、有耳而不能聞、以迄於今；』此之謂也。大維亦曰：『願其筵席之化作羅穽兮、自食其所作之孽。願其目之昏矇而不見兮、背常曲而不直。』
