審判之時、南國之后亦將起而定斯代之罪；蓋彼不遠千里而來、以聆所羅門之哲言；顧在斯有大於所羅門者焉。

諾厄既承示未形之事、心懷惕若、乃豫備方舟、以濟其家。彼之為此、實憑信德；且彼之信德、即所以證世之罪、而自躋於因信成義之域耳。

且彼未割而自然守法者、不將罪爾已割而犯成文之法乎？

顧予語爾、在斯有大於聖殿者焉。爾苟了悟

吾誠告爾、凡此諸端、咸將歸責於斯代矣。

耶穌對曰：『飲此水、將復渴、惟飲吾所予之水者、則永不復渴；

且摩西不過天主全宅中之一忠僕、而傳達天主之聖諭者也；惟基督則為嗣子乃聖宅之主人也。聖宅者何、吾人是已；亦在吾人常存蓬勃之朝氣、與夫浩然之望德、堅忍不拔、莫負初心而已矣。

耶穌對曰：『以邪惡不淑之世代、而求靈徵、除先知若納之靈徵、更無他徵可授。

以邪惡不淑之世而求靈徵、除若納之靈徵外、更無靈徵可賜。』遂離之去。

當審判之日、尼尼衛人、必將起而定斯代之罪。蓋若輩一聞若納之訓、猶知幡然悔改；顧在茲有大於若納者焉。

乃往召較己尤惡七鬼同來居寓；其人之後患、必有甚焉者也。斯邪惡世代、亦復如是。』

然則爾乃大於已亡之祖亞伯漢、與夫已亡之諸先知乎？爾自以為何如人耶？』耶穌曰：『予若自榮、亦何榮之有？榮予者吾父也！吾父非他、即爾自言為爾天主者是。雖然、爾實末嘗識之、惟予則識；予若云不識、是亦妄而已矣、無異於爾之妄也。顧予實識之、且亦篤守其道也。爾祖亞伯漢嘗歡忭踴躍、以瞻望予之日矣。彼既睹之、而神樂充溢矣。』猶太人曰：『爾未五十、而曾見亞伯漢耶？』耶穌曰：『予切實語爾、亞伯漢未有之前、未始無予！』

蓋臨自上者、居萬眾之上；本乎地者、不超乎地、而所言亦不出地上之事。惟降自天者、則超軼乎萬有之上。
