曰姦惡之世而求異兆、先知約拿之兆外、無以示之、

耶穌對曰：『以邪惡不淑之世代、而求靈徵、除先知若納之靈徵、更無他徵可授。

He answered,“ A wicked and adulterous generation asks for a sign! But none will be given it except the sign of the prophet Jonah.

But Jesus replied,“ Only an evil, adulterous generation would demand a miraculous sign; but the only sign I will give them is the sign of the prophet Jonah.

『邪惡淫亂的世代切求着神迹；除了約拿的神迹，再沒有神迹給它了。』就離開他們去了。

羣眾越來越多的時候，耶穌又開始講論說：『這世代是個邪惡的世代；它求神迹；但除了約拿的神迹以外、必沒有神迹給它。約拿對尼尼微人怎樣成了個神迹，人子對這一代也必這樣。當審判的時候、南方的女王必和這一代的人一同起來，定他們的罪；因為她從地極來、聽所羅門的智慧；但你看，有比所羅門大的在這裏呢！當審判的時候、尼尼微人必和這一代一同復起，定它的罪；因為他們因了約拿所宣傳的就悔改了；但你看，有比約拿大的在這裏呢！

變節的人哪！豈不知與世界為友、就是與上帝為敵麼？所以凡想要做世界朋友的，就把自己立為上帝之仇敵了。

但你們呢，巫婆的兒子啊，姦夫和妓女的種啊，走近前到這裏來吧！

在這淫亂有罪的世代、凡以我和我的為可恥的，人子帶着他父的榮耀和聖天使來臨的時候、也必以那人為可恥。』
