但耶穌說：“邪惡和淫亂的世代尋求神蹟，除了約拿先知的神蹟以外，再沒有神蹟給你們了。

曰姦惡之世而求異兆、先知約拿之兆外、無以示之、

耶穌對曰：『以邪惡不淑之世代、而求靈徵、除先知若納之靈徵、更無他徵可授。

邪惡和淫亂的世代要尋求神蹟，除了約拿的神蹟之外，不會有甚麼神蹟給它了。”耶穌就離開他們走了。

眾人聚集的時候，耶穌就說：“這世代是個邪惡的世代。這世代尋求神蹟，可是除了約拿的神蹟以外，再沒有神蹟給他們了。約拿怎樣成了尼尼微人的神蹟，人子也照樣成為這個世代的神蹟。審判的時候，南方的女王要和這世代的人一同起來，她要定他們的罪，因為她從地極來到，要聽所羅門智慧的話。你看，這裡有一位是比所羅門更大的。審判的時候，尼尼微人要和這世代的人一同起來，他們要定這個世代的罪，因為尼尼微人聽了約拿所傳的就悔改了。你看，這裡有一位是比約拿更大的。

淫亂的人哪，你們不知道與世俗為友，就是與神為敵嗎？所以與世俗為友的，就成了神的仇敵。

但你們這些巫婦的兒子，姦夫和妓女的後裔啊！你們都走近這裡行姦淫吧！

在淫亂罪惡的世代，凡把我和我的道當作可恥的，人子在他父的榮耀裡，和聖天使一起降臨的時候，也必把他當作可恥的。”
