Some of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law came to Jesus. They said,“ Teacher, we want to see a sign from you.”

Then some of the scribes and Pharisees answered him, saying,“ Teacher, we wish to see a sign from you.”

One day some teachers of religious law and Pharisees came to Jesus and said,“ Teacher, we want you to show us a miraculous sign to prove your authority.”

Then some of the scribes and Pharisees said to him,“ Teacher, we want to see a sign from you.”

犹太人要看神迹，希腊人寻求智慧，

当时，犹太人质问祂：“你给我们显什么神迹来证明你有权这样做？”

法利赛人出来盘问耶稣，要求祂从天上显一个神迹给他们看看，借此试探祂。耶稣深深叹息道：“这世代的人为什么总是要看神迹呢？我实在告诉你们，没有神迹给这世代的人看。”

还有些人想试探耶稣，要求祂行个神迹证明自己是上帝派来的。

这时聚集的人越来越多，耶稣说：“这是一个邪恶的世代，人们只想看神迹，但除了约拿的神迹以外，再没有神迹给他们看。

他们又问：“那么，你行什么神迹让我们看了可以信你呢？你要做什么呢？

耶稣对他说：“你们不看见神迹奇事，总不相信。”

有几个法利赛人和撒都该人来试探耶稣，要求祂显个天上的神迹给他们看。耶稣回答说：“傍晚的时候，你们看见天边出现红霞，就说明天一定是晴天；早晨的时候，你们看见天色又红又暗，就说今天必有风雨。你们懂得分辨天色，却不能分辨时代的征兆。一个邪恶淫乱的世代想看神迹，可是除了约拿的神迹以外，再没有神迹给他们看。”于是耶稣离开他们走了。
