A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in him.

A good man says good things. These come from the good that is stored up inside him. An evil man says evil things. These come from the evil that is stored up inside him.

The good person out of his good treasure brings forth good, and the evil person out of his evil treasure brings forth evil.

A good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart, and an evil person produces evil things from the treasury of an evil heart.

The wise in heart shall be called prudent: and the sweetness of the lips increaseth learning.Understanding[ is] a wellspring of life unto him that hath it: but the instruction of fools[ is] folly.The heart of the wise teacheth his mouth, and addeth learning to his lips.

The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment.The law of his God[ is] in his heart; none of his steps shall slide.

A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth: and a word[ spoken] in due season, how good[ is it]!

Then said he unto them, Therefore every scribe[ which is] instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man[ that is] an householder, which bringeth forth out of his treasure[ things] new and old.

O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.

The words of the wicked[ are] to lie in wait for blood: but the mouth of the upright shall deliver them.

[ He that] speaketh truth sheweth forth righteousness: but a false witness deceit.There is that speaketh like the piercings of a sword: but the tongue of the wise[ is] health.The lip of truth shall be established for ever: but a lying tongue[ is] but for a moment.

Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.
