當用各樣的智慧，把基督的道理豐豐富富地存在心裏，用詩章、頌詞、靈歌，彼此教導，互相勸戒，心被恩感，歌頌神。

心中有智慧，必稱為通達人；嘴中的甜言，加增人的學問。人有智慧就有生命的泉源；愚昧人必被愚昧懲治。智慧人的心教訓他的口，又使他的嘴增長學問。

義人的口談論智慧；他的舌頭講說公平。神的律法在他心裏；他的腳總不滑跌。

口善應對，自覺喜樂；話合其時，何等美好。

他說：「凡文士受教作天國的門徒，就像一個家主從他庫裏拿出新舊的東西來。」

毒蛇的種類！你們既是惡人，怎能說出好話來呢？因為心裏所充滿的，口裏就說出來。

惡人的言論是埋伏流人的血；正直人的口必拯救人。

說出真話的，顯明公義；作假見證的，顯出詭詐。說話浮躁的，如刀刺人；智慧人的舌頭卻為醫人的良藥。口吐真言，永遠堅立；舌說謊話，只存片時。

污穢的言語一句不可出口，只要隨事說造就人的好話，叫聽見的人得益處。
