口善应对，自觉喜乐；话合其时，何等美好。

他说：“凡文士受教作天国的门徒，就像一个家主从他库里拿出新旧的东西来。”

毒蛇的种类！你们既是恶人，怎能说出好话来呢？因为心里所充满的，口里就说出来。

恶人的言论是埋伏流人的血；正直人的口必拯救人。

说出真话的，显明公义；作假见证的，显出诡诈。说话浮躁的，如刀刺人；智慧人的舌头却为医人的良药。口吐真言，永远坚立；舌说谎话，只存片时。

污秽的言语一句不可出口，只要随事说造就人的好话，叫听见的人得益处。
